NEW HOUSE TOUR + UPDATE ON HQ BUILDING

In this informal vlog, Mike Andes and Benza take viewers on a multi‑part day that blends a farm‑stand food run, a series of errands, a live demo of Mike’s AI‑powered lawn‑care quoting platform InstantMowingQuote.com, an on‑site update of the new headquarters construction (retaining wall, utilities, concrete pad), and a room‑by‑room tour of their newly purchased home. The video interleaves commentary on food pricing (e.g., high cost of ground beef versus cheap whole cows), shopping for home décor, a coffee stop, and reflections on the walkability and natural light of the new location. Throughout, the hosts maintain a conversational, upbeat tone while noting challenges (tough meat cuts, unfinished décor) and celebrating progress (completed furniture, functional kitchen tech, recovery room, workout space, and upcoming bedroom upgrades).

All right folks, we found Brianna's paradise, a farm stand out here in— it's like Ferndale, Linden-ish area.
It is so beautiful out here and it's such a clear day, you can see the mountains so well. This weather puts me in the best mood. Hello!
So this is what we're working with. Wow. Whoa, we got a full-out turkey. Now that's a young turkey. Salmon, king salmon, coho salmon. Got lamb. Ground yak.
Okay, not gonna lie, at Costco we pay like $3 per pound of chicken breast and it's really good.
Really? Yeah, it's all pricey. It's a little bit pricey, folks. Honey. Wow. Soap. Big purchases. We got salmon jerky and a ribeye. We were thinking we would not buy another cow because so much of it was ground beef. But when you get a cow for like $4 to $6 a pound, and then you go here and it's like the ground beef is $11 a pound.
Salmon jerky taste test.
Well, that makes me want to get the cow now.
I know, that was so insanely expensive. Like, I understand they have to to make a living. I get it. I totally get why. It's just difficult for the buyers.
The problem that we had with the cow though, a lot of it was ground beef, but we did end up using That smells very, very fishy.
Do you like it?
Well, it is fish.
Well, I understand that, but it's like more than I expected.
I mean, um, the other reason we didn't really like the cow is like a lot of the lower end meat, like cuts, some of it was like very tough. But even if like 10% of it wasn't great, what was the parts that we— like the shank?
It was just like a lot of cheap, tough cuts like sirloin tip roast, cube steaks that I have so many of and I I have no idea what to do with it. I'm probably just gonna end up grinding it up, honestly.
Ooh, that's smart. $1 for a dozen eggs. A little cheap. They are like licensed. You can tell like they have their license on the wall and everything. Probably costs extra to get it all approved, whereas you're just probably getting it from a farmer, right?
Yeah. I'm going to the dump, clearly, and hoping that I don't run into any cops on the way because I have no visibility out the back of my window right now. Like, hardly any. Anyways, I am running several errands today and the first one is going to the dump. I have a few returns to make, gotta go to the grocery store and get an oil change. So all fun things, all fun things. I know we have not given you guys a house tour yet. It's probably coming later in the video, so stay tuned for that. I still am getting some decorations for it. I think we pretty much have all the furniture we need. I do want a couple chairs for the living room to kind of make it more cohesive because right now we just have the couch. Those are like the last two, but it's really not high priority whatsoever. But I just deemed decorations. I have some returns to make at HomeGoods, and I'll probably be looking there for some house stuff, and maybe Target, but Target's usually a little overpriced, not gonna lie. But, um, first let's go to the dump. There are fewer things things I hate more than walking out of a store empty-handed because I feel like I just wasted time. But HomeGoods did not have what I was looking for, but that's okay. I don't want to rush getting home decor anyway. I'd rather just like take my time and get exactly what I want, and I'm definitely being picky about a certain piece. I'm just glad all the furniture is done because that was like the worst part, honestly. So the decorating is the fun part, and I just don't want to rush that process at all. So Even though we lucked out from HomeGoods, I, I'm sure I'll find something eventually. Just dropped my cute little car off at Honda for the oil change, and I've come here multiple times before to get work done on my car. There's this little drive-through coffee stand right across the street, very convenient. To be honest, every time I come here I forget if I like their coffee or not, so we always take a gamble. Today we're gambling and, uh, I'm gonna go get a coffee. We hitting up Brewed Awakening. Hello, how you doing? Update: this hits. This is phenomenal. My recent go-to order has been a sugar-free salted caramel almond milk latte, usually iced, only hot if we go to Liminal. But this is gas. What did you launch this beautiful Saturday morning?
InstantMowingQuote.com. So I've been working out for what, like 4 weeks, I think?
Didn't you start on our last turnaround? So no, like 2 weeks, 2, 3 weeks.
Basically just while we're flying, on the trip, at night, in bed, in the gym. Yeah, in the gym. A lot of it was down in the gym. And they're just using AI to build a tool for helping lawn care mowing companies get prices immediately. Using AI, manual measurement on a map, and small, medium, and large pictures. So it's free for up to 50 customers, and then you get 100 per month if you're a HomeWorks member. Okay, so here's what it looks like. Form builder is once you're logged in. There's a whole bunch of different types of forms. You can see all of your leads when they come in. The real magic— let me see how to do size picker. So size picker is, I'm gonna go in here, I'm gonna be like 123 Main Street, and I just see small, medium, and large, and I as the customer get a price. Pretty snazzy. Then there's the AI estimate one, which is it scans it with AI, looks at the picture. This one's gonna be way off probably because it's like 10 acres. Oh no, that's pretty good. It's not 10 acres, it's 4 acres. That scans it with AI. Not bad, that's actually pretty accurate. $109,000. That's pretty accurate. That'd take about an hour or more anyways. Then there's the last one where you manually draw it because some people are like, I want it to be accurate every single time. I want to measure this whole thing. Boom, boom, boom, boom. And I can just measure it and whammo, get a price and I can click accept and then you can put that information in and then get upsold.
The fact that you built that in 2 weeks is unreal.
Well, thank you, AI. All right, we had to stop by the headquarters building. This is it. Built the retaining wall over here. The foundation layer is ready to go. They're starting to pour concrete on Monday. So the utilities have come in. We have— where'd they move it? They had a power station, but I think we've now put it underground. So all the utilities come in, the fire suppression system. We built this block wall. This is actually blocks from the Bellingham shop where we used to have bins for, uh, selling materials. They brought them all over here and are using them here, so that's kind of cool. But yeah, you can see the perimeter, 75 ft, 100 ft long, 2 stories. So next week this will be a pad of concrete and it'll actually look legit.
I think this is what officially makes us homeowners.
That's right, doing a project on a weekend.
This is a simple house project, you know, just got to cut open the bags and dump. How hard could it be? Update on the snack cart for the delivery drivers: they're chipping away at it. Most of the drinks are gone, a lot of the meat sticks. And here is the official sign that I need to like nail or tape or do something to, but it's looking real cute. Now I should probably help instead of just filming.
Okay, landscaping up the car.
These are the kind of home projects we like though. Because like 5 minutes later it looks so much better. So it's like this deep brown color versus that red we're trying to cover up. Now we're official homeowners.
So our neighbors last night, they're also doing a home project, landscaping.
And last night they were arguing like crazy in the backyard, like yelling at each other. They were arguing in a different language.
Yeah, Punjabi. So what did I do? Like all logical people, use ChatGPT for what it's intended to do, which is I recorded on ChatGPT and said, hey, I think this is Punjabi, tell me what they're saying. It wasn't good. They were yelling. Welcome everyone to our crib. Let us take you around. If you ever show up, Vanna will be seeing you on the camera and will be poom poom poom poom if you're a bad person. Okay, this is the sign that we're gonna hang up, but, uh, Michael couldn't reach it on the ladder the other day. Okay, so this is the recovery room. This is the StairMaster. This is the energy drink fridge. That is a place where we keep all the stuff for the delivery drivers, all their snacks, because we have a little place, banh mi, out front. This is the cold plunge. See? Beautiful cold plunge. And this is the cold plunge machine to keep it cold. That's the recovery room. All right, Benza, show us the next room.
Everything is a work in progress, let's be clear. Um, You know, we're still working on getting decorations. We got most of the furniture that we want except for like 2 things, but the decoration is clearly still in progress. This is a bathroom that used to be like a powder room, they said, but they just like hung on to it.
Oh, we gotta turn the lights on. The backsplash is super sick, and I really like the tile and the lighting, folks, underneath the cabinets.
Incandescent lighting?
Uh, definitely not. I don't know, I think indirect lighting maybe.
I don't know. Something like that. Anyways, on to my favorite room, which is the kitchen. I have made many a meals here and will continue to do so.
And very fantabulous meals, we might add.
Um, this island is my favorite. Okay, so in the very first video we ever made in this house, we had no idea what this was. Yeah, we thought this was like a wireless charger. It is, but you press down on it and it's so much more than that. There's outlets on either side and you can You can still use this as a charger, but it's like such a cool little hack.
So that way you can plug things in the middle of the island.
Exactly. My other favorite feature of this kitchen is a touchless range hood. You just wave in front of it to turn up the levels, and then you go that way to turn the levels down.
Oh my goodness.
Like, so cool.
It's almost like we don't have fingers to push buttons.
Yeah, almost like that.
And then this thing, I'd never seen one of these before. You can fill up the pots on the stove with this thing.
To be honest, I have yet to use it.
We have yet to use it.
Too.
It's just cool. Yeah.
Um, and then we have the dining room area where Michael has set up his workstation.
Hey, we building things, we using AI, right?
He's working on his website. It's a little coffee nook right there in the corner. Still very unsure of where I want to put that and like everything. We don't have anything on the walls, so it's very much a work in progress.
Progress, progress.
We're about like 70% of the way there. And then we have a cute little oasis out in the back porch, back porch oasis situation. We have plans for that eventually. Very excited for that.
We like the big tall ceilings.
The living room, which the other two pieces of furniture that I was talking about earlier is probably like two chairs.
I thought you said you were gonna say your best favorite feature was the, uh, the big old refrigerator.
That's actually true. I do love our double refrigerator. It's called an oversized refrigerator. And one side is mine and one side is Michael's, and it works out great. But I do love this living room. And then it's all the— oh no, no, no, wait, storage.
Very important.
It's a catch-all closet right now, but this is a closet that goes all the way— come on in, come on in, follow me in, let's go— all the way underneath the stairs. It is like the deepest here, all the way under the stairs. And we're hiding our excessive couch cushions here in the corner because we don't need that many cushions.
We don't need half the storage in this house. We don't need half of the rooms in this house.
And clearly the bad part about having a lot of storage is you justify just throwing stuff in there.
True.
So we need to work on that.
Oh folks, watch, watch, watch, watch, watch. Ready? Ready? Oh, oh, oh, it's like magic. Ready? 1, 2, 3. Ah, very good. Okay, now on to the upstairs. This is where I can throw things that Hannah wants to eat in the kitchen. Right in there. Okay, so this room is the nothing burger. We don't have anything for this room. Maybe down the road it'll be an office or something else. Not sure what. This is the closet that we don't really need, but Mike fills up with some coats and luggage. But we don't really— this is the one room we could probably next to this house. I mean, just fine. Yeah, we don't really need it right now, but we don't want to move for a long time, so eventually we'll move into that more. Okay, washer dryer sitch came with the house. We like it. Very good. Okay, bathroom for Michael. Boom, boom. Oh, wait for it, wait for it, wait for it. Boom!
More under the cabinet lighting.
Okay, now this is another room that eventually probably become the workout room. So we have this bad boy here. Now you ask, why is this here and downstairs we have the StairMaster? Well, originally we wanted the StairMaster in this room, but the problem was we couldn't get the StairMaster in this room because this very tight corner. So they're split up, which is not cool. So then you're like, why wouldn't you put this back downstairs with the StairMaster? Why? Because this was already set up and we didn't want to be mean to the mover guys that have been here 4 extra hours and be like, hey guys, take it back down. So we didn't do that. Now they're separate. In the future, probably have dumbbells here, probably put some rubber down the floor way down the road because we're literally like a mile from the gym. This is Michael's, uh, what we call it, a closet situation. Let's go. Vanna's closet is a little bigger, but this will eventually be the gym.
Um, this is our bedroom. We are getting this light fixture replaced Tuesday because it's a little extra and we're not very extra like that. So we're putting this fan in. It's a very big room, very empty. The only extra furniture we got were the nightstands. And then the bathroom.
Nightstand.
Is very lovely.
Yes, because it has lighting.
I love the shower.
Yeah, cool shower. Very cool shower.
Here is the closet. Very nice closet. Very full of clothes. So yeah, that covers every room in the house, I think. That was a very quick expedited house tour. But we are very, very, very thankful. Like every day we tell each other we love this house so much. It is—
lots of natural light.
Yeah, lots of natural light. Ideal location, very central. So we like it here.
And lots of places to walk for our digestion.
It's very walkable. Where we were at before, it was not very walkable.
We took like one walk before outside at our apartments. Here we walk every single day.
It's true. That concludes the house tour. Thanks for watching.
Bye. Bye.
