Short YouTube conversation (uploaded by Mike Andes, April 26, 2023) about a lawncare/company service visit that surprised a new homeowner. Mike Andes explains the company offers email/text visit notifications but this homeowner did not receive one because the previous owner failed to cancel service. The homeowner (77 years old) expresses shock and privacy concerns about seeing a worker in her backyard unexpectedly.
We give our customers the option to get an email or text message prior to us showing up to their property just to make sure that they know that we're coming. However, this homeowner never received a notification because they just purchased the house and the previous owner of the house forgot to cancel service.
I'm walking around in my nightgown, and I've got a big nothing but windows back there in a sunroom. I didn't appreciate it.
Oh, I certainly understand.
It was really. It was shocking. I'm 77 years old. I just. I don't. I don't need to know that at any given time, I'm going to look out and see a man in my backyard. I don't understand why he had that wheel. You know, like cops measure when there's an accident that could be fake.
Yeah, I. I'm not sure why. And like I said, I don't see anything else about anybody showing up there today.
And he had a spreader, and he was out there doing something, and I thought, what in the world? And I wasn't capable of catching him, talk to him. And then I got a bill, and it was for $60 and something, I think, or 65. And it actually. It was addressed to the person that owned this home before me.
