Excerpt from a YouTube video by Mike Andes ("Secrets to Building your Lawn Care EMPIRE"). In this clip Andes compares his career shift from a planned medical path to starting a lawn care business with another person (Jim) who made a similar move, and briefly describes that his company’s franchise agreements grant franchisees substantial rights and allow them to exit without onerous fees.
That leg is real. Just cannot sleep. So I'm gonna go ahead and work out. What's really interesting is the story of Jim's mowing is very similar to my own story in that Jim was really highly educated and then decided, like, this is not for me, and started mowing lawns. I did the same thing, then started gusting lawn care after deciding I wasn't going to the medical field. Also, the way that we structured our franchise agreements, there's a lot of rights given to the franchisee, and they're allowed to leave the franchise without huge consequences or, you know, being put over a barrel in terms of fees.
