Short transcript from a YouTube video where a customer angrily claims she’s being overcharged after receiving a $600 quote. Mike Andes explains context: the quoted work included building a hog wire lattice against the house and removing rocky soil to replace with planting soil, and the job was ultimately completed for a competitive price compared to higher other quotes.
I am being ripped off big time and I am not happy. I am going to blow up social media big time about this.
It's always frustrating when customers leave negative reviews and they haven't actually done any work with us. They just got the quote and they're unhappy about it. In this case, she was unhappy about $600 quote, but she just mentioned the two plants. There's a hog wire lattice that we're building against her house, as well as the soil that we were planting these plants in was rocky. We're going to have to strip all of that out and replace it with planting soil. Here's the feel good story ending, though, and that is that we actually ended up doing this job for her. You got other quotes that were significantly higher in price.
