TENNESSEE TURNAROUND + WE'RE MOVING HOUSES???

We came to this really cute city, like Franklin. Yeah. It's about like 30 minutes south of Nashville and we're gonna be spending the day here. Besides the heat, we love Nashville and everything. What in the world?

Like how they left all the windows in.

Yeah. Like this was just an old factory and they turned it into different shops. That is the coolest thing Ask.

Oh my.

This is the place to be. What folks at. We came to this Australian themed cafe. It's not super authentic based on the menu. There's no Vegemite or anything like that. There was papa though. But it looks so cool here. Like green ceilings. This is inside the factory. We got a latte. It's very good.

Nope, we had all sides.

We ordered only sides.

Whenever you get meals you got like hash browns, toast. We just went like through all the sides. Wago, salmon, bacon, eggs, crispy cheese.

Like a grilled cheese?

Yeah. That is authentic to.

Oh really?

That's why I noticed it. It's like a humma.

It's very good.

Nope, we had all sides.

We ordered all the sides.

Whenever you get meal, you got like hash browns, toast. We just went like through all the sides. Salmon, bacon, eggs, crispy cheese.

Like a grilled cheese. I forgot what it's called.

Something grilled. It's basically grilled cheese. Like cheese, just cheese, oil and salt. No bread.

I'm looking forward to eating cuz I'm very hungry hungry folks.

Yeah, that is authentic to our grill.

Oh really?

That's why I noticed it. It's like a hummel.

I forgot what it's called.

Something grilled. It's basically grilled cheese. Like cheese, just cheese.

This looks so good.

All right. Oil and salt, no bread.

I'm looking forward to eating because I'm very hungry. Hungry folks.

This place so we can eat food. We found this tiny little soundproof container. You can see Brianne out there. She cannot hear a single word I'm saying. It's in this little box. I want to get some of these at the office one day in the headquarter building.

This looks so good.

All right, let's pay so we can do food. We found this tiny little soundproof container.

We came to this Australian themed cafe. It's not super authentic here.

You can see Brianne out there. She cannot hear a single word I'm saying. It's in these little. Oh, cool little cubby situation box. I want to get some of these at the office one day. Very vibey spot here. Lots of inspiration for the headquarter building.

Honestly. Alrighty. We Are back on the turnaround train headed to.

Oh cool little cubby situation to start cozying.

This morning the guys left earlier than we did so they could film the trip.

Very vibey spot here, lots of inspiration for the headquarter building job site.

It is pretty toasty here in Tennessee so for the sake of them and alrighty we are back on the turnaround train headed to start cojing. This morning the guys left earlier than we did so they could film. Also for the sake of the crew, we wanted to make sure that they got a cooler part of the day so now we are headed to coaching.

Yeah so this one's crazy. This is a smaller business than usual. They did around $200,000 in revenue last year.

Their job site, it is pretty toasty here in Tennessee. So for the sake of them and also for the sake of the crew, we wanted to make sure that they.

Got a cooler pressure washing company and the partner bailed part of the day.

So now we are headed to coaching.

Yeah, so this one's crazy. This is a smaller business than usual. They did around $200,000 in revenue last year. They are pip town and then text them a few days later saying basically like hey. Or a few weeks later saying like hey, I want you to sell all the equipment, you shouldn't be operating it in the business name. So I did a little sleuthing last night online pressure washing company and the partner bailed skip town and then text them a few days later saying basically like looking through the secretary of state stuff and business license, etc. And sure enough the business hey. Or a few weeks later saying like hey, I want you to sell all the equipment you shouldn't be operating in the business name. So I did a little sleuthing last night online. This is still licensed in that old partner's name. So we've got to figure out a way to decouple this situation and hopefully allow this other owner, the person we're meeting today to continue operating. But the business is also in shambles and looking through the secretary of state stuff and business license etc. And sure enough the business of the financials, they have negative bank account balances, they're running purchase is still licensed in that old partner's name. So we've got to figure out a way to decouple this situation and hopefully allow this other owner, the person removes personal expenses through the business. So it's quite the cluster. They're in a unique situation, meeting today to continue operating. But the business is also in shambles and Least. But Widow Pickle doing a widow pickle. And then in terms of the operations now, is it mostly both of you?

Yes, both of us got it.

And is it your girlfriend?

My sister. Is your.

In terms of the financials, they have negative bank account balances. They're running personal expenses through the business. So it's quite the cluster.

They're in a unique situation, to say the least.

But Widow Pickle doing a widow Pickle.

Initial offer he made was I.

Essentially, in terms of the operations now, is it mostly both of you?

Just. Both of us got it. And is it your sell everything and pay off all the debts associated with the business. There's, you know, business loan, a credit card, things like that. Nothing too crazy. And then that leaves you with no equipment, but you get to keep all the clients. It's like, well, that's kind of a backwards live.

Your girlfriend?

My sister. His girlfriend. Initial offer he made was, I essentially want you all to sell everything and pay off all the debts associated with the business. My argument was just let me pay the loans off, like with the business that we have, right? You're seeing a business loan, a credit card, things like that. Nothing too crazy. And then let's just do that. And he just. They don't, I guess, trust me to pay him off today. I got an offer from him today from his lawyer, and now he's all of a sudden wanting to put the truck that he took with him back on me. So now that leaves you with no equipment, but you get to keep all the clients. It's like, well, that's kind of a backwards way of doing it. My argument was just let me pay the lens off, like, with the business that we have. Right? Let's just do that. And he just. They don't, I guess, trust me to pay him off today. I got an offer from him today from his lawyer, and now he's. All of a sudden, there's a truck and asset that he took with him to Atlanta. He's like, I want you to have this back along with the 900amonth truck.

All right, so we finished the first turnaround. We're now returning this car to the car rental place.

You know, whenever we go over the spokes, even though it's gonna go down for you if you go the right.

Way, I'm still wanting to put the truck that he took with him back on me.

So now pull in the tire and then go bankrupt trying to pay it off.

Dropping this one here and then hopping in the van with the guys and driving up to the next shop tour up in Hendersonville, Tennessee. Great couple up there, Augusta owners that we're going to do a shop tour with.

Excuse me, spokes. Even though it's going to go down for you, if you go the right.

Way, hopefully we can stop at the keto bakery again on the way there. Also. Yeah, priorities. It's all about priorities. Also, the copilot mobile app just dropped out. Fieldforce, very good. It just is the beta, but it just dropped and released on iOS. That's very exciting. But yeah, the first turnout went very good. A lot of legal issues. We'll see if he can bail himself out and negotiate his way out of the deal there. Okay, so we're in the app store. Field force by co pilot. Let's scroll down a little ways because we're a brand new app. There it is. This is the mobile app. It looks amazing. Amazing, amazing, amazing.

Welcome to the hendersonville location. And this is Emma.

Emma, how you doing?

Hi.

How old are you? How old, how old are you? 3, 2, 4. So this year with those, what's the size of revenue you're thinking you're making?

So we'll probably hit 400. That's our goal.

And then last year, what was it we finished at? 280 last year. Wow. So it's pretty big step up.

Can you say hi? Yeah.

If you get on top, you can drive it.

Hi there.

How's it going?

Nice to meet you. Good morning. Hi.

Good morning, guys.

Brianna, Tosh. Nice to meet you. Nice to meet you. Hi, nice to meet you. Nice to meet you.

This is a cool spot. Co me show me around. Sure, sure, sure.

Random material that somebody said they wanted on the job site. You know, junk like that. Scaffolding, ladders optimizing for.

I would just be like, okay, we're gonna have to reset the way the business is built.

Yeah.

I'm trying to like just think about who buys this business. If you're able to build a subscription based recurring revenue, simple service a dentist could buy you. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. And so now your buyer pool is 20 times larger.

Here's the playbook.

Yes, the business checking account has a negative balance.

This is the business turnaround show.

This is the business turnaround show. My name is Mike Andes. I'm the founder of Augusta Lawn Care. Today we're in Tennessee, and we're visiting Blair from BEC Innovations.

This year, the business is on pace to produce $1.7 million in revenue.

This year, the business is on pace to do $1.7 million in revenue.

Yep.

Very hot.

It's so hot.

Very hot. Even they said this is like a heat advisory situation.

We got a heat warning on the weather app, and it rained last night.

So it's like a bazillion humidity. Oh, so glad. I live in Washington state, but it was good turnaround. Interesting. I think there's a lot of dynamic situations happening there that we didn't really dive into. I think we focused on the business side, but I do think there's a lot of other stuff going on which Brian and I will discuss off the blog.

Yeah.

What'S that quality? It's 4K30, man. No, pretty wide, too. Like, wow, that is pretty close. Focus. I, like, just empty the cup and then have Zach pour water. Whoa. Boom. That would look sick, actually. Let's make like the mood.
