The FINAL DAY @ GIE+EXPO 2021

A short YouTube video by Mike Andes documenting the final day of GIE+EXPO 2021. Words of wisdom, man.
Who are who? To the lawn, guys.
Good morning and welcome to the last day of gie.
I appreciate you keep doing your content. Thank you for watching. Thank you so much.
Here are all the franchisees that made it into town. Waiting on a few more for a picture. They're in a class this morning.
Instead of like, he's going to work for the next two months during my spring break. Right. So how do we do that? How do we start class?
Better calculator and the pay for performance.
Yeah.
So we can do your payroll. We can do your P for P.
She goes out there and let's go.
No, you do. Okay, very good.
Let's go.
Are you wanting to go to school or is it your parents?
My parents.
See, that's the thing is, like, if you're going to your mba, for example, it's not going to be relevant to volunteer, but if your parents are pushing you in that direction, you have learned more than what you will learn in school for small business right now. If you're going to scale up and I imagine your parents want you to have a backup plan, that's why they want you to go to school, right?
Yes.
Right. So the thing is though, you know you're going to do this for the.
Rest of your life.
Right? But like, I came to the point I was late to class all the time. I was like, dude, I just can't finish. You're superhuman. I've seen your videos. Knowledge. But on the flip side, like, look, I can hire someone else and they can have all the knowledge in their head.
Chuck F. Where are you from?
Mooresville, North Carolina.
What has this experience at GIE been like for you?
It's cool. There's a lot of. If you're into toys, there's a lot of equipment, a lot of toys.
What's it been like talking to the people that are walking by?
It's been interesting. They have a lot of questions, but I like seeing different people from where they're from. I'm just a general manager at the corporate location that Mike owns in Mooresville, North Carolina. So Mike's been there once, and then the rest of it is all just kind of ran day to day by myself.
Were you in lawn care before you came to Augusta?
No, I was actually. I was a government employee for the state of Ohio in the law enforcement sector. And then I did private security, and I'd always done lawn care on the side. And then, you know, found Mike, and now I'm a general manager.
Yeah, well, we love having you on board. Thank you.
This is a hardscape house. They actually build paver patios retaining walls. You actually do it here live in person lear how to do it and test new products.
Oh, okay.
I'm Liz from we got salon here.
Oh, Liz. Hey.
How you doing?
Nice to meet you.
I can't believe you came.
Oh, yeah, you're probably just. I'm left handed. I'm left handed though.
Hey, I hope you enjoy the last few days. It's been a wild ride here at GIU meeting lots of people. Biggest reason we were here is to get vendor relationships for the franchise. These get some discounts from vendors. Mission accomplished. Moving on to the next one. Back to the plane. Here we go.
Okay, well, now we know which days you got to focus on. At Friday we can kind of chill out, have fun.
And that's why they do the give giveaways on Friday too.
Shut up.
It.
