THE LEADERSHIP TEAM IS COMING TO TOWN!

A vlog-style video by Bri and Mike Andes documenting a day of errands and studio work while preparing for an upcoming Copilot leadership visit. Scenes include a first-time conveyor-belt sushi outing, follow-up calls about six-week turnaround plans, shopping for servingware and groceries to prepare a leadership lunch, studio/set preparations for an upcoming Black Friday event and leadership meetings, and casual moments (coffee, book arrival, recipes). The piece mixes practical event prep with informal, behind-the-scenes studio life.

Guys, this is my first time being at a sushi place that has like the belts and it passes by. You just grab whatever you want. It's both of our first times. I'm so excited. I haven't had sushi in so long.
We're carb loading, folks. We're gonna be a lot of cardio tomorrow.
Like, look at this. This is so cool. I've never done this before. I'm assuming we just go for it. Like, I think we just pick. I don't know what this is. What color is it? Black.
Six. Thank you.
Thank you. You want to split it? Yeah.
Want a fork?
I don't know how to use them.
Oh, really? You never use chopsticks?
How do you do it?
I'm not a professional by any means. I think you like, you. You want to work the top one with your pointer finger and thumb and let it rest on your.
Ring finger or middle finger.
I'm trying, I'm trying. It's going to work.
So good.
We tapped out with four black plates, three blue, one yellow. Honestly, the yellow was the best and it was the cheapest out of the three. Thank you. You too. Michael was critiquing their business model.
There's some serious improvements that can be made. Overall, the vibes are premium. But then you have little things that cause it to not feel premium. Like these cups. When was the last time you went to a really nice restaurant and there was plastic cups or plastic cutlery or very old laminated, gross looking menus? Again, the vibe, super high, premium. Like, I like the walls, I like the lighting. I like the huge Buddha statue up front. Very Zen, you know what I'm saying?
Hence the name. But there's just a lot of things like little pieces of tape holding the signs, like little things. That piece of glass needs to be cleaned every day. Probably hasn't been cleaned in months. Just the little things. If they just tidy those things up though, you could charge twice as much.
Good morning, vlog. I am about to hop on a call to follow up with one of the owners, actually the first owner that we visited on that turnaround tour that we did back in September. I am now doing the follow up calls after just to see kind of like break down their six week plan and see what they have and what they have done and what they have yet to do. So that is the end clip that you guys always see at the end of each turnaround episode. Usually Zach, the head of the media team, does it, but now that is on my plate and I love it. I did my first call last week with Emma and Sam, which were some other owners that we visited on that same tour. Now I'm doing another one and I'm so excited. I think it'll be like once a week kind of thing just because that's kind of the schedule for each video to go out once a week. Let's go ahead and hop on this. Oh, my screen is so dirty. Or my camera. I look foggy. Oh no, it's not really better. Yeah. Hey. Hi guys.
Hello there.
How are you? Good, how are you?
We're doing well.
Awesome, awesome. I'm great. I thought I'd be the early one but you guys beat me to it. Awesome. So we can go ahead and jump right into it. Do you guys have the six week plan? Chic. Thank you so much for your time guys and like it's so awesome to see you just follow through in every single aspect. So you are going to crush it.
Can't wait.
Thank you. All right folks, next up on the agenda is to let this recording finish converting to my computer and then I upload it to the media team intern so they can have access to it for whenever they need it to edit the video. And that is that super straightforward and simple. Actually right after turn this camera off and I was talking to them, I had realized like he had just started on the first one, the first like point that Mike gave him and I didn't hit record so thankfully I caught that cuz that would have been horrible if I didn't. Anyway, week from the day the co pilot leadership team is coming in town to do a bunch of planning for the Black Friday launch and another secret that will be revealed in a few weeks and I get to make lunch for them on Monday afternoon. So I have like a little list planned out with things I want to make and then the things I want to like. The groceries I need to get, I also want to get like really cool. I need things to serve on like I have a platter for the charcuterie board, but besides that I don't have like nice presentable like boards or even like little tongs to grab stuff with all the little things, you know. So for the first time in forever, I'm gonna go to their store and try to find these things. I honestly hate thrifting because it's too overwhelming. I feel like there's way too many options. But I'll go to a couple and we'll see what we find. Let's go do it. Psych. I came to the dollar store because I'm hoping they would have a higher likelihood of having what I'm looking for and also a better variety. Truth be told, I just don't feel like going to the thrift store. These look really cute, but I don't know what I'd use those for. There's also candles, but that's a little bit overkill. This ain't no candle at dinner situation. I'm so glad I came here because I found pretty much exactly what I was looking for, which is just like little tongs for them to grab the food with. Okay. Back home. I'm so glad that I went to Dollar Tree and not the thrift store. I don't know why I had the thrift store in my mind, but I was thinking cheap.
That's actually. Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Starting off with a red bow. That is not for the lunch in particular, but this is for another side project that Mike put me on. Which is why I also went to Office Max and got this big old box dvd. If he wants this one, he originally wanted like a banker's box, one that has a lid, someone that's big. They only had the small ones and on Amazon they sell them in bulk. And we don't need 15 large bankers box boxes. So we'll see if I'm keeping this or not. The actual rest of the haul. The silver tong is gonna be so cute. Probably for the charcuterie board or just other miscellaneous things. I'm gonna have silver picks. I'm gonna probably make meatballs of some sort or even chicken wings. It's mostly a lot of finger foods, so this would come in handy, I figured. And then two sets of silver cutlery, gonna make it a little more classy. And then I'll probably use this as a little dessert platter. Because I'm gonna be doing either pecan bar bites, like pecan bars or cheesecake bites or brownies. I'm gonna do two of those three. I haven't decided which ones I want. Pecan pie bars sound kind of good. And the cheesecake bites, brownie bites kind of seems a little bit too easy. Then some plates, this cute platter I'm gonna be doing like jalapeno poppers, cream cheese pinwheels and chicken wings and meatballs. So I'll probably do like jalapeno poppers and the pinwheels. But I'm so excited about this cute stuff. It was cheap, you know, I don't want to get anything too expensive for like a one time use Situation. So that is that. And then. Oh, I have some in the mail room, too. That actually goes hand in hand with this. But you guys need to sign up for the live stream and stay tuned for that to know what the bow in the box is for. Okay, Please do that for me. Go sign up. Okay, folks, I'm at Hobby lobby. I was given the task of being able to wrap some gifts, some fake gifts for the set for Mike's Black Friday live stream. And Hobby lobby came in clutch. I honestly, they didn't think they'd have, like, yellow wrapping paper. Yellow, like, solid colors, but they do, and I'm so excited.
You didn't see that?
I didn't see anything.
Nope.
Keto cake mix dress. This one's addressed to Mike. And if it is, what I think is, I'm gonna take it to him at the office immediately because I'm so excited.
It is. Oh, my goodness, you guys, right here I have the hardback version of his new book. Yesterday, we got in his soft cover. Oh, the proof.
It's good. It feels meaty. It feels, like, textbook.
And I now have the hardback. Gonna look at it down here. Wow, this thing is so big compared to his other ones. I feel like. Okay, well, I'm gonna take that to him.
Okay. Allulose syrup. Because I like to use this to sweeten up my yogurt bowl. Well, I actually never tried this before, but I wanted to use another liquid sweetener to sweeten my yogurt bowls, because before, I would use this fake honey. And to be honest, it's not super cheap, and I didn't want to keep, like, overusing it, so I got a cheaper alternative. It's just liquid allulose. It's literally just the only ingredient is allulose, so. And then I also have a fan for him that I need to take to his office that he ordered. So I'm gonna drop by there, and then we'll get a workout in. So let's.
All right, so Bri asked me to fill you all in because I am doing some recording at the studio. I'm actually in my office. I need to also put up some of. Tried putting some of these sound panels, gray and yellow hexagons up on the wall, and then setting up the actual teleprompter where I can see stuff. So I'm going to set up that now do the co pilot mastermind, which we do on a weekly basis with all the members. But let me show you a little bit of what we're working on. This is the set that we're going to be recording the Black Friday event in. So the team's been working crazy hard on this. I don't have all the lights on. Like this is like a purple and yellows and all the other stuff, but this is some of the stuff that we've been working on. So a lot of work to do in here. But all the sound paneling done, the stencils, I put the painting like the mike and these thing back there. It's all done. So very, very cool. We're getting ready for next week. The leadership team is coming in in town. So head of design, Nathan, our VP of product, which is Josh, and their VP of engineering, which is Dan. So they're going to be coming. These are actually the stools we're going to be using. I'm doing some podcasts with them also inside the studio. So this is what we've been working on this week. Getting all the kind of control center out here set up and all the wires going through the wall. So that way we can then have outside the glass, the controller. So that way inside of there is just really good audio. It's all controlled. So things are starting to come into shape here. This is the top area for the media team. And then they created this. Like this is where they do their watch throughs for the turnaround show. So the all the editors will gather around this, watch that, the turn on show, different iterations of that. And then this is all of the setup that they were doing last week for this control center. But things are starting to take shape in the overall command center. Just getting set up. This is the media team desks here, Zach Home service, Millionaire channel. And then there's overall, everything's starting to come together. So all those rooms are now filled with a lot of storage. And then we'll be having a lot of the leadership meetings down in the conference room. This is where Lindsay sits. But we've kind of got some preparations for the leadership team and got this special cubicle for the three of them, Dan, Josh and Nathan. Because we have a big release at Copilot next week, so we still got to have regular meetings. So this is where they'll kind of hop out. And over here is where we'll spend most of our time together for is the break room. And some of this has been a little different since you last saw it. It's looking good.
This is where we'll spend most of our time in the conference room, the boardroom. Okay, quick update. Look at this. I Set this up in the. In my office.
Looks pretty good.
Pretty proud of myself. Little design like hexagon, beehive situation, technically acoustic soundproofing stuff. But I'm trying to break up this very blase wall.
On my screen here. So it breaks it up pretty good.
I like it.
Very good.
Good morning, you beautiful people. Today is Saturday, and on Monday the co pilot leadership team will be in town. So Josh, Jana, and Nathan, and then Lindsey works locally. It'll be just the five of them. Them including Mike and I get to make lunch for them. So just for Monday. Sidebar. The only supplements I really take are central amino acids for good muscle recovery. I used to take creatine, but I would always take it in powder form, not the capsule form, which is way more efficient. I don't know why I didn't do that. And so because I took it in water, it always just seemed like a big ordeal. And I hate the graininess of it. It's tasteless, but the graininess, texture was disgusting. So we just taking aminos.
A couple things I can make ahead of time, like cream cheese pinwheels, and then probably the two desserts that I plan on doing, which is like pecan pie bars and cheesecake bites. So I'm headed Trader Joe's. I'm also doing a charcuterie board. I'm doing a lot of things. Okay, because, you know, it's a big deal that they're coming in town. Josh is coming from Wisconsin, Dan's coming from Oregon, Nathan's coming from Texas. They're coming a long way, so, you know, we gotta make them a good lunch. Just gonna head to Trader Joe's. Get every. Get a lot of things. I need probably like traders and Fred Meyer. So let's go knock it out.
Okay. On my list here, I need a bunch of stuff for a charcuterie board. And for the cream cheese pinwheels, I need a tortilla or a. Yeah, a single tortilla. Some tortillas and yeah, a bunch of other stuff. Grapes, cider. So let's see what I can find. Dried fruit. That would kind of be good for the shark food Reborn. And some nuts maybe. Just want to let you know, you.
Can'T record inside the store.
Well, folks didn't know that Trader Joe's didn't allow filming inside, but now we know it's a horrible idea to come to Trader Joe's on a Saturday. It is absolutely packed in there, but, oh, where did I park? On the other side. Anyways, we'll touch base later. Let's hope Fred Meyer is a little more vlog friendly. I got pretty much everything I needed at Trader Joe's. Just a few miscellaneous items, like a can of olives. You already know we had to get more phage.
We have quite the hole. We'll start with Trader Joe's because there's some fun things in here. We have two. Two packs of prosciutto, uncured salami and ham. These are for the charcuterie board, by the way. Extra sharp cheddar grapes, green grapes to add a little color contrast on the board. You know what I'm saying? Double cream gouda cheese. That sounded pretty good. And then Italian truffle cheese. Oh, a red pepper. Not for the charcuterie board. A log of summer sausage for the charcuterie board. Sour cream, heavy whipping cream. Next up, we have sparkling white grape juice and sugar plum juice. I've obviously never tried either one, but they sounded good, so I figured, why not some tortillas? Because I'm making those cream cheese pinwheels. Onion for those pinwheels. Pepper jelly for the charcuterie board. Crackers and some rosemary nut mix. 15 jalapenos for the jalapeno poppers. I only wanted 12, but just in case there's some defects. Also, they're pretty small, so 15. It was from Fred Meyer. We have chili sauce. I think this is for the meatballs. Olives for the cream cheese, pinwheels. There's so many moving parts to all these things, so I hope I'm not forgetting anything. Two packs of ranch seasoning. Strawberries. I have not bought this many groceries at once in so long, especially these kinds of groceries, because we don't eat stuff like this. Like, we don't eat graham crackers. And then.
I already have two in the fridge, but I got two more because I don't want to run out. So that's the hall. There's so much stuff in here. Our apartment is so, like, we're limited on space, right? So I always try to, like, limit how many groceries we have in the house at once. So needless to say, I'm already ready to get all of this out of here and into the office for the team. But I'm excited to make everything for them. Spar. What's the. What's the word? Whenever you go back and forth verbally, joust. Not at all. Not spar, right? Is it a verbal spar?
You could say that.
Michael requested a coffee.
I get a coffee because I not sleep much.
Do you tell him how much you Slept.
I Woke up at 2:30.
Yep. We went to bed at what, nine, eight, nine.
No, it was 10 o'. Clock.
And he slept for about four hours.
But now we're making coffee so we can get some caffeine and keep hustling. We're grinding.
Grind. Oh, I think I need to put more beans in. Beans that are way too old. I think I got these like two months ago. And all the coffee snobs would say you want freshly ground coffee beans, but we don't drink coffee at home as much. Smell it. That smells so good. Tony's coffee. I don't know if it's just a Washington thing, but it smells really good.
Anyways, we've had this Breville. This is actually a wedding gift from his heart, Tori from Home Service Web Design. And it is probably my favorite thing that we had on the registry. And he was so kind.
But now you drink way less coffee.
Here's the reason why. Because I have an energy drink in the morning before my workout. Cuz, you know, we're trying to fuel and that has 200 milligrams of caffeine.
So bam would be too Italy too.
I'm not off the wall and I'm.
Talking to ChatGPT because I am working on reporting because next week we have the leadership team meeting and I made all my reports to get all my numbers.
Okay, so here's how to make Michael's at home mochas. Okay.
Oh, fuck. We're getting the full deal.
Is this like milk chocolate or dark chocolate?
Dark. Oh, Milt.
Milt.
Yeah.
Lily's chocolate chips.
I'm feeling a little edgy today.
And look at this thing. This is so cute. My brother got this for me.
Shout out Jeremiah.
Or for us on a registry. And I know he's watching this.
Shout out Jeremiah.
So this is actually my least favorite gift.
Oh, Banna. I was gonna get you flowers because these ones are almost dead.
You do not want to go to Fred Meyer on a Saturday.
Oh, no, that's horrible.
That's where I just was.
I could have told you that.
Trader Joe's. Trader Joe's and Fred Meyer.
Whoa. What are you doing? How do you do it?
They melt.
Oh, you like we're blending them and like, I don't know, I melt them last time.
You're right though. They did not melt, like, at all. But I use those.
So you're saying usually you melt it into the coffee.
I just like let the espresso pour over it and it melts.
And then we have Toronto sugar Free chocolate syrup.
Not great for you, but.
No, it's not great for you.
Okay, well, I thought you were, like, shredding them somehow.
I can if you want me to. It's brewing right now. If you guys have a Breville. You know how frustrating it is to try and dial this thing in and get a good shot? Is that really close? I feel like that's, like, up my nostrils. And this one looks fine, like it has the crema on top and it's not pulling through too long. Oh, yeah. I've wasted so much coffee trying to get a good shot. Oh, it's still pulling for a little long, but it's not that bad. It actually looks pretty good. So now don't do as we do. Do as we say. Don't use plastic hot liquids.
Why?
Because you're just not supposed to do that.
Oh, why don't use a fork?
Because then we have to wash the fork.
We. We don't even pay for our water bill, Ben. It comes with a rent.
Look, it's melting. Better. A lot better.
Oh, it's that plastic it's melting in real nice.
That's right.
Poisoning me. It's poison.
Nah.
And then just when I want to lick up that.
To balance out the fact that we're having artificial sweeteners and Lily's chocolate, we're having raw milk. All about balance.
Raw.
Pour the milk in for first.
Whoa. Do you feel that whole thing? Whoa. Banna. That's a lot of calories a day.
And then you pour the espresso in on the milk before you add ice because. Oh, look at that sludge. It looks like. We don't need to say what it looks like, actually.
Then you just do ice.
Yes. Because if you pour espresso directly over the ice, it melts the ice, and it gets it watery, and it's disgusting every time I see a barista do that. Fun fact. I was a barista for about three months before I moved here. And, you know, I'm not a pro by any means at all, but I do know you don't pour espresso. Hot espresso directly over the shot.
Unless you want an American.
1, 2, 3. And then you push it down there. Get all nice and cold. All nice and cold and mixed. And look at that color. That is a beautiful color. You can tell how good a coffee is by its color. Now, wait, wait, wait. Here you go.
Taste test.
Tastes like melted, melted plastic.
That's, like, very similar to woods, but I'm not kind of like. I think woods changed something.
Yeah, he doesn't like woods as much.
I don't know if it's just because I had.
What's it called?
Dutch Bros. Yeah, Dutch Bros Beats all the show.
This is better, though. This is better than Woods. Not as good as.
This is better than woods, though. I don't like woods the in anymore.
Let's go. We're boycotting Woods. Catch us there next week. Just kidding. Catch us there next week. All right, folks, that is it for the vlog. I'm gonna be editing and prepping some stuff for Monday's lunch. So that's the end of the vlog. Thanks for watching. Bye. Oh.
Bye.
