Two people dispute what was included in a landscaping job. The crew trimmed a garden bed by the tennis court but left large leaves piled on the court instead of removing them. Speaker B admits most work was done well, but the estimate didn't match what the crew was told to do.

I'm in the development business. That's what I do. The estimate that was provided and then the work that subsequently was done were very different.
Line item one, trimming and weeding in the garden bed. Was that completed or not completed?
It was semi completed. This is complicated.
Okay, so the expectation was all the way around. But the verbiage on the estimate that was accepted outlined only beside the garden bed. Immediately beside the tennis court.
Yeah, no, I agree with that.
Item number two says to rake up large leaves and work related debris. Now, was all that removed?
Mostly I had taken debris that was in the ground and put it in a pile on the tennis court.
Now, was that pile there when he had come out for the estimate?
It likely wasn't.
And the expectation was we would clean it up. But it wasn't mentioned on the estimate. When the estimate is accepted, these are the exact work orders we give to our crew to provide service.
Hey, most of the work was done and I'm not going to dispute that. And in fact, the work that was done was well done. They cleaned up everything. They did a great job.
