The time has come. Even Gordon Ramsay would be proud of these T bone steaks.
Oh, beautiful.
Oh, yes. Fun fact. The very first night that we ever met, we had T bone steaks and Michael grilled them.
And guess what today is.
Today is one year since we were officially boyfriend and girlfriend.
We didn't even plan that.
Nope. Michael just told her. Told Brandon she was my girlfriend.
You want to tell them that story? Tell them how that happened?
Well, I was talking to my family on the boat and I said, I need to get back home and I need to call my girlfriend. And I was telling you about that, and you're like, oh, so are we. Are we a girlfriend and boyfriend situation?
Because he had not asked me yet. Officially.
Officially. You know, we have gone out all these official things. This is gonna be so good. So proud.
What's up, Vlog? Just got back from church and the pelican is out, which means we are traveling again, but this time not to go on a turnaround. We are waking up bright and early tomorrow, I think around four, to go to Miami. More specifically Boca Raton. So kind of north of Miami, actually. But I am just packing up the last of the necessities, like a food scale, obviously. Can't forget that. And we have. You know what, let me, while I'm at it, just give you guys a little haul on this. That's a lovely angle. A little haul. All on the things Mike and I take with us to snack on for trips because airports don't have jacks and what they have is like insanely expensive. I got all of these from Costco, just to preface, but chomps, it's a staple for a reason, you know, tried and true. This tamu beef jerky, zero sugar. It's actually pretty hard to find beef jerky with the ingredients mostly meaning like just ones without sugar in it. This one does have soy. Like, like soybeans or soy sauce, which has soybeans in it. Who would have thought? So, like, I don't love that part of it, but everything else is clean. Just basically beef and spices. So that's cool. And then these Archer mini sticks. Mini beef sticks. So good and so clean. Made with grass fed beef and then like just spices. Now what I've never tried before that I am very excited to try are these carne asada. Dried beef, I guess like beef jerky. Almost like dried beef strips. Per ounce, it's 90 calories and 15 grams of protein. Clean ingredients. Let's see. Oh, there's maltodextrin in here. Didn't know that anyways. Besides that, it's macro friendly and it has plenty of protein. So.
That'S the snack haul. Gonna pack these up. I will see you bright and early tomorrow morning.
424. If you couldn't read that.
Florida, here we come.
Caught me red handed.
We made it through security.
Very good. It's like drive Carnesada at Costco.
Go get it.
We've been up since for our time and it is 6:21 Miami time.
And I'm very much looking forward to to sleep day. That was like a six hour flight, which is really not bad. That's not worth complaining about. But we made it to her. We're trying to locate our car. What did we get?
We were gonna get a jeep, but then it was like 70 bucks to upgrade or something like that. So we're trying to save. Didn't she say 45? Oh, what stall number did she give you?
45.
It's not 4.
45.
Hey, vlog. We have not had a real meal all day. We've just been snacking on meat sticks.
And zero carbs all day and everything.
So we stopped by Whole Foods and Michael does not know what I picked up. So this is his raw reaction. Along with you guys, let's begin.
Hope it's some like Mel left.
I don't think you need help sleeping. Michael's exhausted right now. I got three of the phage. Zero percent fat things. You know, there's no flavoring. It is literally just yogurt.
So, so good. Highly recommend. It's better than Chobani or any sort of Greek yogurt.
I agree. It's not like sour.
Yeah, that bitter taste. It's a little bit less caloric than regular yogurt.
Yeah. Because it. This one is the one with no fat in it. And then I got two pieces of grilled chicken breast with nothing on it. It's literally just chicken breast, olive oil, salt, and organic black pepper. That's what we want. That is what we want. And then we have a half gallon of milk for the protein shakes.
And the fun one is a slate chocolate protein drink because I know Michael likes them.
Zero adding. Let's go.
Okay. That's the Whole Foods haul.
Let's go.
Gotta love it. And I did throw some forks and spoons in there. Is Michael happier?
Michael's happier. Gonna be really happy when he's sleepy. Look, I'm supposed to get off here.
I sick. No, I'm not.
I don't think I'm supposed to get off here.
Sick.
We're on the wrong highway. Didn't you tell me to get off?
I did. In 0.5 miles. But maybe we missed that one. And then.
Oh, brother.
Just had three more minutes to our navy. It's okay.
What are we talking about?
Little detour. Anyways, we're going to sleep good. And restart tomorrow.
Good morning vlog.
It is a. I was gonna say beautiful morning in Miami. You know what? Yes, it is a beautiful morning in Miami because we're gonna look on the bright side of things. It is very hot. As you can probably tell by my voice. I didn't really sleep very well last night. We slept, Mike. Slept like 10 hours.
Amazing. Yeah, I made up for like a whole week of sleep. It was great.
I, on the other hand, feel like I was in and out. But there was this one annoying nightlight that kept us both up. Or that kept waking us up.
Yeah. Non financial advice. Have an eye cover. You know what I'm saying?
I haven't gotten there yet. I need to. For now, we're gonna go get a workout and then get some breakfast after. Let's do it.
Yo, you guys.
That looks so good. The famous Brazilian breakfast spot.
Colombian.
Colombian, right. Thank you. Pork belly eggs, steak with onions. Unfortunately.
Forgot to film the results of our breakfast.
He's over here trying to mix the latte and I would give it a solid like eight. Breakfast was great. And now we have coffee. And I just saw this hack on how to mix it because, like, all the milk is at the bottom.
So now you tell them.
Oh, yep. I want to tell the vlog first. So I might make a mix. This what I. You like, Fold this over on top. Yeah. Okay. Ready?
Yeah.
It makes such a mess.
I think you look worse than I did.
I did.
Okay.
That does not go according to plan. That's a pretty solid latte.
Michael prefers his sugar free mochas. Do you not like it?
I like it.
I am like me will finish my little mine. You never.
That's not true. I've been. I've been finishing mine recently because. Okay.
Usually have like maybe 20%.
Okay. 1. I started to feel very bad because on the turnaround I did not finish them because I was leaving them with almond milk and I realized I don't like almond milk lattes. So now I just get it with. In other news, I have a call with like. Do you guys remember a few vlogs ago, whenever I was telling you about Smiley? The at home kit to get your own Invisalign, Basically. Well, I. This was like Probably a month ago that I got the kit in the mail and I still have yet to ship them off because I cannot get the impressions right. I follow all the directions and everything, and they just are not acceptable.
So now I'm getting a call with someone from there. He's gonna walk me through it. The call starts in 10 minutes, and I'm gonna go public a coffee shop. So I'm just gonna be shoving a mouth tray inside. And that looks heavy. It's gonna be great. Just kidding. I'm in the car, so I can take it in here. Did not want to be shoving an impression tray in my mouth in front of everybody. So let's get on this call.
Okay. Grab your handle right here and pull it down.
Yes.
Okay, let me see. Okay, we have one more set of putty left, right?
Yes, ma'. Am. Yeah, could you try on the big.
Top three for me?
Yes. Or for the delay.
You have to wait.
No problem. Have a great day.
You too. Bye. Bye.
Thank you. Bye. Bye, you guys. Oh, my word. Finally, after, like a month of trying to get this thing started, it's worth it because it's so much cheaper than going to an orthodontist. But here are the impressions that they're gonna use. I don't know why they want this one because it looks pretty janky in my opinion. But this one, she said, looks perfect. So I'm so glad that's over. I just need to go home and ship this back. Good morning. It is currently.
4:30Am and you might be thinking, wow, this conference that you guys are going to starts very early.
No.
We both woke up at like 3:30 and couldn't fall back asleep. So eventually Mike rolled over and he was like, do you want to go work out? And I was like, yes. So we're gonna go work out. And we don't need to be at the hotel for the conference until.
8:40.
So we'll have time to go work out. Possibly come back and get a nap.
I think our body clocks are so messed up because we're used to three hours earlier. So actually back home it's 1.30am not sure how this worked out, but here we are. Anyways, let's go work out.
Share any thoughts, comments and opinions.
I'm reading the comments and opinions in the YouTube comments from the turnaround show that came out yesterday. I'm the Roman Company.
Are they nasty comments?
They're not great.
If you guys have not. I look like death. If you guys have not gotten to see the turnaround. That was the last one we did in Austin, Texas and it was the plumbing company. So go watch it. Maybe leave a comment, say that the vlog sent you. How about that? And if I see the comment, I will like it. We came back to the hotel and got like 30 minutes of sleep. And now we are about to leave for the conference. And here is a little outfit check. So do I look like Big Bird from Elmo? What's that called?
I think so.
Something street. Anyway. Sesame Street. Yes, I do. I got this shirt from Amazon.
It's not exactly Augusta yellow.
No, it's not. Cuz this is a gusty yellow. I am like bright yellow. This is like a.
She looks great. Mustard yellow matches your hair. Great.
Thanks. And then Main Street Exchange and Nike. Michael's is Augusta shirt. I don't know where he got it from. Lulu.
Amazon lugs Amazon. They're $21.
Fantastic. Let's go get a coffee. We are two minutes away and I'm going to be the camera woman. It's going to be on hsm. Go watch it whenever it comes up.
But Michael, I will be the actor. I think that's public parking. Two hour limit. We're going to get along. Hr.
Yeah, we're gonna be here for nine, eight hours.
Well, my talk is about seven or eight hours. Well, lunch is eight hours minus one hour. So seven hours of talking.
So this business is kind of struggling.
We have it. We're going to do that on the turnaround. No one knows that here.
Yeah.
So. But that's like the franchisor. The franchisor that they may really make their product money on the product. They don't really make it on the franchise fees. And it's a, it's a, it's a good business model until you stop selling product. And so this pool fencing business has basically gone from like 14 million a year in revenue to I think like probably 8 to 10 million this year, which is really killing them on. In profits. So. But none of the franchisees really know that yet, I don't think. But we are going to be there in a few weeks, do a turnaround show and hopefully help them kind of turn things around. Which I've already talked to the founder and kind of come up with a few ways that they could, could probably change this pretty quickly. But today the objective though is to really kind of rally their franchisees. I actually think they have a good business model. Oh man. What are we doing? All right, we're here for a conference day. Where can I park?
It's valet only.
Okay.
And we have someone I don't think I need to really do an introduction for since we got to meet Mike Andes at our annual conference this winter. Founder of Augusta Lawn Care and five years ago he franchised it and has over 170 locations now. He's also the creator of Copilot CRM, which over a thousand businesses use. He's the author of Total Business why Home Service Businesses Don't Make a Million Dollars. And he may or may not know this, but he's also an integral part of our franchisee training program because we use a lot of his material to teach our marketing and sales and all of that stuff because it's so pertinent to what we do. So without further ado, I'd like to introduce Mike Andes.
Good morning everybody. Six seven fences a day. Cuz they're just absolutely stellar sales. I'm probably going to say that they're worth $2,000 per hour. Cuz they are going to sell five fences $3,000 a pop. Over the course of an eight hour day, they're going to bring out $2,000.
It's lunchtime.
Lunchtime.
We're the only ones in here enjoying our beef jerky.
Highly recommend.
Michael's crushing it. You can talk about next.
A bunch of stuff. Three stages of stress leadership hats foil framework growth mode versus profit mode. KPIs. It's gonna be great. We got through one. There were three of my top like subjects this morning and I have like 25.
So.
So I honestly thought today I'm like man, 70 hours. I might run out of material and I. I'm not even going to come close.
You're only on like side seven out of 30, right?
Yeah.
Okay, so I have a question.
Okay.
How often do you get asked to do these speaking gigs?
Well.
I was getting asked all the time. So I raised my prices like we always talk about.
When you hit capacity and you raise prices. Okay, so now it's abhorrently expensive. $20,000.
From 10k 10,000 to 20,000?
Well, no, originally it was like if people asked me I'd be like yeah, but I basically either came for free or I wouldn't come.
Oh really?
Yeah, because but the challenge then you have to say no all the time. I didn't like that. Made me feel weird. Okay, let's put a price to that way narrows down people. So I only do these maybe four times a year.
Do you have another one in the works?
Yeah, when the one I think I told you. Orlando. It's not confirmed. Yet.
Oh, for. Do you know what dates?
Nope.
We're finding out at the same time.
You guys, I don't have dates.
Do you still say no sometimes?
Not if they're willing to pay 20 grand.
Okay, so you usually say yes to all.
That's what I'm saying. 20 grand is like a good.
Filtering.
System because how could you say no to that for a day?
No. Most people do say no. Like 99% of people say no.
How could you say no whenever they ask you?
Well, it still doesn't make sense financially for me, but it's good content for home service Millionaire channel.
I'm not here filming.
And then we kind of make a good date out of it. We usually come one day early and spend the day together.
We flew in Thursday, had a good time Friday, which was yesterday. And then tomorrow we'll probably spend it in Miami before flying out. Yep. So, you know, we make the most of it. Same five turnarounds.
The goal is to make it where. Sorry, I cut you off. Go ahead.
Never went to Austin. We FL a couple days earlier, spent time. Made it worth it. And then in Nashville, we're going to do the same thing.
And then it's our vacations the one day before.
Exactly. What were you gonna say?
The goal is to make it. If they spend 20 grand, that it's the best thing possible for them.
Yeah. You want to make it worth their money.
Knock their socks off. So this is actually the second event for this brand.
They hadn't come out in February, which was their annual conference that they always do. This is their first time doing semi annual.
This is like the franchisees, only the other one had like, distributors and all that. You have like two customers. You have the person who hires you to come, and then you have the audience. And you want the audience to walk away thinking, that was the best event in my whole life. And then you want the person who's paying you to be like, that was worth the message for them. So you need to know, like, what's the objective of the person hiring you, I. E. Event coordinator. And then you know the objective, like the audience member, which is using to make more money. Well, using event coordinator, too, but in a different way. Go. You got this pool. Cool. Did you show them their. Your prints?
I recorded the whole process.
I just want to say $20,000 is the same. I do understand that, but it weeds out 99% of people that ask me to talk.
Getting paid $20,000 to talk.
I hit capacity and rage prices. That's what we do.
That's right.
And once I got married, capacity dropped.
Great.
So that ideal case scenario, you can walk into a deposit and I can do that if I've baked in time throughout my whole presentation. Now let's assume I haven't done that or I did and now they're. You think this person can be choked if you do that, then I'm going to book a meeting from a meeting which is.
All right.
When do they get home? Oh, they get home at five o'.
Clock.
It's three o' clock now. They've already probably told that they get back at five.
It is 7:03 and we wrapped up about two hours ago. Two and a half hours ago. Michael did fantastic as per usual. Nobody surprised.
Ben did great job on video.
Oh please. I just stood there. We came back to our hotel and took a nap because we were both dead tired after the lack of sleep that we got last night. Now we're about to go eat and I'm so excited because.
Goodness gracious, you can tell I just woke up. We have not had like a legit meal since breakfast. Do you have any thoughts, comments, opinions you'd like to share?
Do I have any thoughts, opinions, feelings, whatever?
No. I had a really good videographer. I think she did such a great job that I'm gonna take her out for dinner tonight.
Night A. Yeah, that's very generous.
Yeah. So I'm going to go take her out right now and I think we have a budget enough to be able to pay for the dinner since we.
Had the speaking event. So that's good.
Yeah, I think she was a really nice person, so I really hope you can meet her.
I'm glad we have great employees. Anyways, let's go get some steak. Look at the.
Lamb.
There's like nobody here, which is awesome, but sugar free vanilla latte. Gotta mix it up. Not gonna use the bubble method like yesterday. They have paper straw.
Really is a coffee roastery.
Good point. Vibes.
8 and a half out of 10. Coffee 3 out of 10.
Service 3 out of 10.
But anyways, wrapping up the vlog here. It was a great time in Miami. We're flying out in about two hours so just gonna get some work done before heading to the airport. Overall, this was a fantastic trip. A little hot and we didn't really get adjusted to. Oh, look at the lights. These.
Looking forward to just settling down for the week before the seventh of Year club. The week after. Sweet is franchise training, right?
Yeah. Yeah.
Thank you for watching. We will see you guys next time.
Bye.
Bye.
