WEEK IN OUR LIFE ON THE ROAD!

In this informal vlog, Brianna and Mike Andes chronicle a back‑to‑back turnaround coaching trip for small‑business owners. They begin by heading to the airport, discuss the tight schedule of two upcoming May turnarounds, and promote the application link. The duo travels to Michigan City, Indiana, where they coach a $2.3 M cleaning company with 56 employees, focusing on leadership development and scaling. Along the way they share personal moments: snack recommendations (Costco steak strips), a high‑protein shake experiment, and a coffee order at Starbucks. They fly from Chicago O’Hare to Houston, emphasizing the value of direct flights and a dedicated travel day. While waiting for a flight they visit a smoothie/supplement shop (Green Monkey), compare product quality, and note excellent customer service. The vlog also captures behind‑the‑scenes logistics such as videographer Terrell’s B‑roll work, and a brief discussion about recruiting applicants for future turnarounds. Finally, Speaker C shows a HomeGoods delivery‑driver card and snack‑cart purchase, reflecting on branding and cost considerations. The episode ends with reflections on the April turnaround, excitement for two May turnarounds, and a call for more qualified applicants.

Good morning, you beautiful people. It is not so bright and early today, thankfully, but we are on— back on the turnaround grind, heading back to the airport. I think we just came back from our other turnaround like 2 weeks ago, so we're doing them kind of back to back.
But we got 2 more in May too.
Yeah, we have 2 turnaround trips in May, so that's exciting. If you have not applied yet, please apply to MikeAndes.com/turnaround.
That—
we're kind of cutting it close, so a delay might plan in our favor just this one time. As long as it's just like a 15-minute delay, you know?
Wait, 15? Oh, you mean that? Oh no, we're gonna get there, no problem. Now that being said, I was 2 minutes past the time that Brandon said was our very last moment, but I just noticed on the Apple CarPlay that she said it was 11:15 we're leaving. Reality, it's 11:16. So technically we're only 1 minute later than expected.
Right. That's boy math right there. Sponsored by Bloom Crisp Apple. Best flavor, no contest. Good morning from Michigan City, Indiana, which is crazy.
Yeah, that's just like the fact that having Michigan City in Indiana is weird.
It's a little finicky, but it's like having in Canada United States City.
It's like you're in Canada.
Good point, very good point. We are on the way to coaching right now with the big cleaning company. Um, Terrell our videographer has already headed out to get some B-roll of the crew just like doing their thing, cleaning and all that jazz. And then we're gonna meet up to, um, the owner's office space for coaching. This is a $2.3 million company and it doesn't— like, from the application, it doesn't sound like there's a ton of pain points besides he wants to learn how to lead leaders because I mean, that's a— he has like over 50 employees, about 56 at peak. So there's a lot of moving parts and he has at least 3 to 4 people in leadership to oversee all the other employees. So he wants to basically learn how to lead them, wants to learn how to scale, um, this company, like see how big he can get, I guess. He—
more fun fact— pastor, ex-baseball player. MLB?
Was in either pastor or preacher, but, um, I don't know. He was definitely like, I think, close to going pro or something like that. But he has a whole podcast set up dedicated to interviewing ex-pro baseball players. Which I think is like so niche but pretty cool. Also, I got Mike Andes new snacks. Incredible steak strips from Costco.
Highly recommend.
Cleanest, cleanest ingredients I've ever seen in meat strips like that. It's just grass-fed beef, apple cider vinegar, and salt. Shout out to Costco, that's why I love you.
450 to 500K a year company to like a $1.2 million a year company, um, and we just kept on that trajectory.
We just wrapped up with coaching not too long ago, and we are currently at a Starbucks that's like right down the road from where we just were doing coaching from because I have a follow-up call with one of the applicants that we visited back in February. So I needed to get Wi-Fi real quick to get this done. Also just want an excuse to get coffee. Let's figure it out. I got a tall iced shaken espresso with no classic syrup, one pump of sugar-free caramel, syrup and almond milk, and I added stevia because it wasn't sweet enough. Let's hop on this call.
All right, I don't know how this is gonna work, but we're gonna try it out. We're taking Phage yogurt protein fit pack, putting Core Power in. I drank half of the Core Power and then I put all the Phage in here. Just tons of protein. Goodness gracious.
Mind you, he has a cup available.
No, we need to go on the road. We'll go to the airport. So then you close it up. I haven't done this before. I'm making it sound like I've done this before.
That texture's got to be diabolical.
Okay, let's see this work of art. Tastes like chocolate beige.
It doesn't taste clumpy at all, or it's not clumpy.
Now the crème de la crème, Catalina Crunch inside.
This is insane.
How much protein? It's 42 grams, and the phage is probably under like 20, 10.
Did you put the whole thing in?
Oh no, like two-thirds. And then all of this Catalina Crunch, which is straight protein, whey protein essentially. Okay. Take all this.
It's gonna get so soggy.
Oh no, I'm gonna, I'm gonna chug it.
Chug it, okay.
I wouldn't necessarily recommend it unless you want to have 100 grams of protein in one sitting. It tastes exactly like you would expect 100 grams of protein would taste.
You're gonna gas up the whole plane. Alrighty folks, we are in the Chicago O'Hare Airport. And traveling through here is not for the weak, let me tell you. It is a pretty busy airport. We are flying straight into Houston. Thankfully, we have all direct flights for this whole trip. That's a huge win. That is actually something I'm learning to prioritize on these trips because it is so worth paying a few extra dollars just to eliminate the risk of something going wrong during a layover or there being even more delays. The good thing about the new turnaround format is that we have a dedicated travel day. So it makes things a little more chill. We're going to be heading into Houston for the second and final turnaround of this trip and then headed home on Thursday. So Mike is about to do his Mike Andes mastermind for all the Augusta owners while we wait to board in about 15 minutes. We are in Texas. If you cannot tell by the size of the parking lot, this ginormous parking lot. Terrell, our videographer, went ahead of us. You'll know who Terrell is by now. I don't even need to clarify. You'll know who Terrell is. He's the GOAT. He is at uh, the owner's shop space right now, getting B-roll and footage. Then we're gonna meet at the coaching area. So, but for now, we're going to a smoothie/supplement store for Mike Andes. I doubt they have coffee, but we'll see. Psych! That place is a no-go because they essentially— their smoothies are powdered, and they had like a soft serve machine that I don't really know what comes out of that, but Nothing healthy, probably. So we're headed to a place called Green Monkey, and that sounds a little more promising just to kill time while we wait, and it's on the way to the house. So Michael is not a fan.
When you walk into a smoothie shop, you want to feel healthier within the first 2 or 3 breaths. If you don't get that dose of just soylus and green and spinach, then you know you're walking into basically a manufacturing plant for a bunch of powder and water, and that's what that is. Supplements, smoothies don't mix. I just want a smoothie shop. Note to self.
Attempt number 2, here we go.
Monkey. Look at that monkey business. Look at that monkey business.
Okay, it does not smell like powder. Good morning.
Protein iced coffee.
Ooh.
First time here?
First time here, yes.
Welcome in.
Thank you.
This one's good.
The green one's good?
Both of them are good.
You would think they'd be opposite.
Yeah, we got protein, we got spinach. Life is good, you know. Great customer service. Guy was happy, giving me nutrition facts, give me samples. He was jazzed up and loving life. The last place, we couldn't even get a hello from the guy. Just saying. I would hire that guy on the spot, give you a great command center agent. He's happy, loving life, informative, trying to get us on a QR code, upselling us, giving us samples. He's a one-man shop situation. And even while we're there, the blender broke. It literally blew up inside a little cage thing. He handled it like a pro.
When you plan to move in?
Uh, we're not really.
We were calling like the building landlord and he's like, we don't have a sprinkler system. And so we're trying to turn off the water. Yeah.
And if you want to be really gangster about this, I would also split test text it with the phone. So you have the ads coming in and just split between this one goes to VSL and a landing page, this one goes to call now.
Tell me you're in Seattle without telling me you're back in Seattle. But we made it home. I don't think I got any clips of the second coaching that we did yesterday, but that one, it was good. It was good coaching. Mike had more context going into it because he did do a coaching call with them before. Um, they had spoken in the past. Spoke? They had spoken? Is that right? They had spoke? They had spoken in the past? What's the alternative? They had spoke? They speaked? Sneakers? Anywho, do you have anything you'd like to add in closing to April? We will never do another 2026 April Turnaround again. How do you feel about How was that?
I feel like it was fantastic and I feel very sad that we don't get another turnaround this month. But we get 2 next time. 2 next month. 2 happening in May.
I have my work cut out for me because right now I need 4 applicants and we have 1. I know, we need more applicants. And that one's not even confirmed yet.
Yeah, we need some good applicants. We have applicants, we need good applicants.
I'm at HomeGoods right now. I've seen those little cards that people set out in their front port for like delivery drivers, Amazon, FedEx, whatever. And this one looks like perfect. It's so cute. I feel like it fits the vibe of our house. This might be the winner.
It's $80.
I'm not— we're not doing that. It was too good to be true. I'm not spending $80 on the cart. I dropped a bag on the snacks themselves. Let's see if they have something cheaper. Trying to decide between these two right now. Because I don't know if I need one as big as the white one, but they're the same price.
I ended up getting the little one because it's so cute. I prefer the color, and I don't think we need one as big as the white one. So I need to get a cute sign for it, like probably a chalkboard-looking sign. You know what, I should probably lay that down so it doesn't roll over the back.
We know how I drive.
Let's take this home and fill it with some Snacks. So I got coconut waters for hydration, you know, and I got a box thinking they were like small. 33.8 fluid ounces, a whole liter of coconut water. I should have, um, actually read that. I might return these because it's just so big. It would take up the whole drink section of the cart. So these are getting returned and I'll have to get normal size ones. It was a little bit of a tight squeeze in the drink section, but we have it all done. I have That's It bars. It's just like 2 ingredients. Depending on the flavor. This one is apples and strawberries, and then this one's apples and mangoes. I think there's like a blueberry one in there. We've got 2 different kinds of protein bars. We've got the chocolate brownie and chocolate chip cookie dough. We've got some Clif Bars, 2 different flavors of those, trail mix, beef sticks, turkey sticks, Liquid IV packets, sugar-free water bottles, and then a couple flavors of energy drinks. I'm gonna put a little sign on there to like say that it's for the delivery drivers, but I think that is like such a cute and fun idea. I'm excited to like see how quickly this dwindles down. We honestly like probably get a delivery once a day or at least like every other day, so I'm excited about this. This is like such a cute idea. Eventually I definitely want to get like a chalkboard that says something a little less wordy, but for now that'll do. And it looks so cute out here. Brianna in the editing studio coming at you guys to end off this vlog. I think the last video we didn't do a proper outro, and we can't have two videos in a row without a proper nostril shot. So hope you guys have a great Monday, great week, great life, great month, all of the above. Bye!
