A short motivational YouTube monologue (Neel Dhingra) advising viewers to pursue "disproportionate" income before age 35 to build wealth. He contrasts proportional, capped-income paths (college, salaried jobs, low-risk investments) with disproportionate opportunities — entrepreneurship, sales, active investing, and taking modest additional risk (including debt leverage) to capture outsized upside.
Look, the bottom line is this. If you want to get rich you're going to need to do this one thing before you turn 35. Make some money in a way that's not proportional. Let me explain what proportional opportunities are. Go to college. Get a job that pays you X number of dollars for the next 30 years. Invest your time for this amount of income where the income is capped putting all your money into low risk investments with low upside. Now here's an example of what you need to do which are disproportionate opportunities. Start a business where the income potential is unlimited. Work in sales or get a job where there is a lot of income upside. Become an investor. Invest in things that have huge upside and most importantly take some of your money and put it in things that are a little bit higher risk or use debt to take on a little bit more risk so that way you can have huge upside later in life.
