If you are not getting referrals on a consistent basis, you have a messaging problem. People, even after you've done a great job for them, they don't know how to talk about what you do when you're not in the room. That is a messaging problem. I was a full time magician for 10 years where magicians would get stuck. Like they might be able to pull in 45k a year doing magic tricks, but how are magicians going to 200k a year doing magic tricks? It's because the magicians that were at 50k a year, the show was good. But there was nothing that people knew to talk about their show. After the show was over. They would say, how was the show? And I go, it was great. What did he do? It's like he did some card stuff. There was nothing for them to specifically say to other people. Once I was able to create shows that after I was done, people knew exactly how to tell people about what the show was about and why it mattered to them. That's where the referrals came out. Okay, so this is explaining why people are getting way more referrals than others.
