Is it just TOO LATE to invest in certain things?

A short, informal YouTube monologue urging viewers not to assume they are "too late" to invest in trends, assets, or business opportunities. The speaker argues that many trends have long tails (years to decades), that current prices may reflect fair valuation rather than being "too expensive," and that people frequently talk themselves out of opportunities (examples: real estate, investing in companies, starting content in 2018). The piece ends with a direct prompt to stop using "I'm late" as an excuse and to take action.
So this is a mistake that I've made many times, and I know a lot of you guys have made the same mistake. It's thinking that we're too late. Oh, we missed it. Whether it's a trend, investing in something, a company like, you just think, oh, you know what? I missed that. The problem is, most of the time, if it's something we feel really strongly about or is really based on good fundamentals, it's a trend that's here to stay. It's probably got many years, if not decades left in it to move. Or it may be something that's not prone to crash. Like, it might be just something that's kind of the new norm. For example, like, you know, we're told to think by history that, hey, things that go up, you know, they. They crash, they must come down. But that's not always the case. It's happened in certain asset classes. And I know people's fear around that, but it may not always be the case. Like, things don't always play out that exactly the same way they did in the past. And here's another thing that we have to think about. When something we say is expensive today, it might be accurately priced today. It might be fairly priced today. It might have been too cheap before. Many times I've seen things where like, we're like, oh, you know what? It's already moved up in price, so it's too expensive. I missed it. Well, it might be just more accurately priced today. And before it was too cheap, it was way too cheap. It was underpriced. So just think about that. Many times things are underpriced, then the market catches on and they start to become more fairly priced, and then maybe they can get a little bit overpriced in the future. But we don't know. Many times we talk ourselves out of so many of these investments. Like, think about how many people talked them out of investing in real estate over the past several years because they said, oh, you know what? I missed it because it was cheap before, so now I missed it. Or investing in certain companies that continue to outperform that investments that still do well today. So it just happens over and over. And I think we talk ourselves out of so many different trends. Think about business trends like what I'm doing right here with content, right? I started doing content in 2018. At that time, I was saying, oh, you know what? I missed it. So many people have built massive audiences by now. I'm too late. You know, I just missed it. But really, the reality was is that you could get started, because this is a trend that's here to stay. This is a trend that's in place. It's going to continue for decades, you know, and you just have to pivot. You have to evolve and innovate. But it's here. It's not going anywhere. And think about people starting Today, even in 2021, it's not too late. We might be even early in certain types of content or, you know, thinking along certain lines. Right. So many people talk themselves out of it, saying they missed it. It's too late, I can't do it. I'm late to the party. Forget it. And it's just a mistake. I think we need to stop doing that. You've been thinking about it for months. You've been even, maybe even longer. You know, it's something you should be doing as far as maybe an investment or something that you should be doing for your business or a trend that you need to get with. You're using this as an excuse to talk yourself out of it, and I think we should stop doing that.
