Neel Dhingra breaks down financial freedom into levels, starting with the ability to say no to bad jobs and climbing to refusing toxic people, hiring help, and buying conveniences like flying instead of driving to airports.
Do you have enough money to be free? Everyone's like, yeah, I want to just be free, Financially free. So for me, the level of money is what you could say no to. When I remember when I got to the first level, now I could say no to jobs I don't want to do anymore. Then when I got to the next level now you could say no to people you don't want to work with, like a shitty boss. You could be like, dude, fuck this place. I'm not working with these people. And then you could go find a better job. But you're not, like, stressed, because if it takes you two months, you got enough Runway. Then I remember the next level is like, I can start doing more of the things I like and less of the things I don't like because I can hire somebody. And then I think it eventually, at some point, it's like, dude, I don't have to go to the airport anymore because now I can fly. Flying. You could say no to things you don't want or things that suck.
