Neel Dhingra recounts a personal breakthrough that enabled him to scale from mid six figures (after 17 years grinding) to multiple seven figures. The core strategy is shifting focus from competing on price/product to building personal trust and a visible personal brand so clients see you as more than a vendor. Long-term relationships, consistent content during transactions, and being trusted drive referrals and reduce price-shopping.
This is the unlock I had after working in this industry. Grinding for 17 years and being stuck at mid six figures. I flipped the switch and went into this and got to multiple seven figures because of this strategy. The one thing I hate about this business is when people treat you poorly. When they treat us as a vendor. When you work with someone for six months and then they call you and they say, I found this better rate online. Thanks, Neil, but I'm going to go that route. Nothing feels worse to me than that, like into this day, 20 years in. It pisses me off every time that happens. The reason why that happens is because they thought you were just another vendor. Imagine if you come to my page and you see all this content and you've been getting this content during the transaction. Are they going to think of you as another vendor? Is there anybody in your market doing that? You get shopped incredibly less. Not about the rate anymore. It's about, I want to work with that person. I trust that person. We're not selling loan, we're selling trust. People trust you. They'll work with you, they'll refer you everybody. It's not about the product or the rate, about you as an individual and your personal brand.
