Neel Dhingra says pick a lane and make every post do one thing: make money, save money, or prevent a mistake. Keep 80% of posts on-topic and relegate personal stuff to Stories so followers know what they're getting.
How do you think about the content buckets or types that you talk about? So I would think about what is my lane, what are my topics that I want to talk about. So for me, it's going to be real estate, finance, business growth. All I want to do with every single piece of content is either make somebody money, save somebody money, or help them avoid a mistake. It has to be one of those three things, otherwise I won't post it. And when I noticed when I started doing that, more people started following because now they know what to expect. It's really difficult if you have a piece of content go viral and they come to your page and you just have random shit on your page. I think humans are attracted to clarity, repelled by confusion. So if they come to your page and you got your dog and your family and your kids and then maybe some fitness stuff, and then now you're talking about email marketing, it's just going to be chaos. So you can be interested in all those things, but maybe put those in your stories. I would say follow like an 8020 rule. 80% of the content should be in your lane, and the 20% could be whatever you want.
