Hello. Hello, how are you?
I'm fine, and how are you?
Good.
Cool, man.
So welcome to BBHC's podcast, episode 3.
Yeah.
And today we're going to talk all about the different programs that we offer.
That's right. So, different programs that we are offering are— so you get the general Personal Life Program. That's our famous 2-month program that works so well. And then you also get one for sportsmen and women, and you get one for breastfeeding mothers, or women who want to fall pregnant, or women who are already pregnant.
Okay.
Yeah, and there's also a nice one for teenagers. You know, teenagers obviously have to eat a certain way. We all know that they're a little stingy. And then there's one for toddlers and infants and larger children as well. So we have programs for basically anybody.
Wow.
It's like kind of personalized, individualized. Yeah, so why don't you tell us a little bit about the ones for the pregnant mothers or the breastfeeding mothers?
Yes, so, um, I mean, yes, so we have for women who want to fall pregnant, we have for women who are pregnant, and women who are breastfeeding. So, um, some women just fall pregnant Even though they don't want to or they weren't expecting it.
Like, you don't have to do anything, you just fall pregnant.
Yeah, that's scary.
Why would you want to do this program if you're just like going to fall pregnant?
No. So, but some women are, you know, having trouble. Some women are older and they have trouble. But body weight definitely plays a factor in falling pregnant for sure. Then you've got underlying health conditions that would prevent you from falling pregnant and things like hormonal problems, you know, imbalances, even lifestyle choices. Maybe they are drinking or taking drugs or something like that.
Some kind of medication.
Some kind of chronic medication, yes. Or something like PCOS, you know, polycystic ovarian syndrome, that actually gives you trouble falling pregnant. It's not untreatable. You can handle it. And with our program, we can handle all those aspects, you know, so the woman can lose the weight, she can get healthy, handling any underlying health problems including PCOS, and start off on a good point. You know, healthy, and then you fall pregnant. And then once you're pregnant, of course, now you have to have a good diet so that you can—
You're eating for you.
You're eating for you and for your baby. And you've got to make sure that whatever you're eating is going to help the development of the baby. It's going to influence the metabolism of the growing baby. It's, you know, it's even going to ease birth. You know, if you are not— if you've lots of energy and you're strong, you've got a good immune system, then you're going to have an easy birth.
And there's that hormone that gets released that flips the pelvis when it gets close. You know, I mean, if your hormones are not in balance, that could cause a problem with that even.
Exactly. Yes.
It's like that SI joint thing. Yeah, it becomes loose and the problem happens.
Because, yeah, yeah, yes. And then of course, once you've had your baby and now you're breastfeeding, um, you are, you know, you want to be sure that your baby gets the best stock in nutrition. They get, um, you know, from the milk, uh, from the milk from the breast, they get antibodies that like creates their immune system, makes them strong.
For future, not just as a little baby.
That's right, yeah. And even if you have a good diet, it helps you produce milk, enough milk so that you can feed your baby. And of course—
Does it vary from the normal program that we—
Yes, yes, of course. When you're pregnant or breastfeeding, there are certain supplements that you wouldn't be taking or certain things that you wouldn't be eating that would be different from a normal person.
Right.
So, definitely, yes. And then later on, you know, when you're pregnant and you are getting closer to having the baby, there are certain things that you then start eating to help you get ready and strong for the birth and even to bring on, you know, contractions and that type of thing. So, it's very specific for women.
Oh, wow.
Yeah, it's a very nice program. It's great to make sure that you have a healthy baby and everything.
And what's different, like, for that kind of pregnancy to the one with a toddler or infant?
Well, of course, you know, with toddlers and infants, they are growing, you know, so, and you're introducing—
At a rapid rate.
At a rapid rate, yes. And you are introducing them to solids. If you give them good nutritional food, it's going to lower mortality rate, morbidity rate, you know, and they are going to develop mentally and physically better than someone who's being given junk food or sugar or anything like that.
Yeah, and obviously if they're growing, it's cells that are duplicating, and then they're gonna— they basically get formed out of whatever you're putting into the body. So if you're going to be putting like This baby formula that you find on the streets today, you know, in the shops. I mean, they should be blocked up for selling that stuff.
Yeah.
And then imagine bringing a kid up on that. Imagine the health problems that you're going to have.
Yeah. I mean, they're just getting colic, they're hungry all the time, they're crying because they're getting cramps in their stomach.
For sure.
They're not sleeping. And, you know, it's just, you're putting yourself at a disadvantage because, you know, you're not going to get enough sleep, the baby's not going to get enough sleep. And it could be so much easier. Yes, it could be so much easier. So these programs are great. And I mean, Nick, you've been a sportsman all your life, so tell us why sportsmen and women should have a different program.
Well, you know, obviously if you're doing sport, you're using a lot more energy than a normal person. You're also sweating a lot more than a normal person. You know, your muscles need protein. So, you know, you would definitely have a little bit more protein than just a general person on the street who's looking at losing weight or just being healthy.
Mm-hmm.
You know, and then you have sustained energy. You know, you can go longer with your sport, you know, on less fuel. So, and you're also, you know, because of the fact that because you're expending so much energy doing sport, you're going to be putting so much more food into your body, well, supposedly. But when you're on this program, although there will be a little bit more food going into the body, it's not that much more because your body is just drinking up the nutrients that you're putting into it, and it doesn't need as much. So, if you're going the other way, which is the unhealthy way, and putting unhealthy, like, corn—
Foods.
Foods, yeah. And corn syrup, you know, this stuff, this stuff.
Energy drinks.
Whey protein shakes. I mean, they're horrible for the body. The body hates them, you know, and you've got to put that much more in. So you're just like, you're actually getting way more junk in the body than the average person. So you'll end up being more unhealthy when you get older, you know. I mean, if you have a look at like real grueling sports like cycling or triathlon, or marathon running, you guys become diabetic when they stop their sport. And they just go, oh, they just balloon, you know, because their bodies are messed up from, you know, from all the junk that they've been filtering through their bodies. Literally, the body's just sponging up all the junk. So yeah, it puts the guy on a healthy course and it, you know, The guy will perform at a better level.
Yeah.
And he will also have more longevity. There's a famous ultramarathon runner, Bruce Fordyce. I mean, he won the Comrades Marathon so many times. It's the largest ultramarathon race in the world as far as runners go, or participants. And he was like a high carbohydrate, high carbohydrate, high carbohydrate, and then he literally He like turned into this old man overnight and then got on, eventually got onto this type of eating and said like, had he done this type of eating when he was running competitively, he would have been able to go so much longer. People saying, yeah, but he won so many Commonwealth Marathons. He's like, he did that despite it, and it also burned him out where he could have done the same thing or maybe better.
And I'm sure this program also helps You recover after heavy training.
Yeah, I mean, you know, I know guys who are on this program who, you know, you go and you ride or you go and you run and you come back and you haven't eaten all day, you've done this for a few hours of sport, you come back, you're still hungry, you know, 3 or 4 hours later and suddenly you think, okay, you know, maybe it's time to put some food in your mouth. Whereas old school thought is, oh, you've got to pull protein into your body as soon as you finish training. And it's all like false information, you know. When you're on carbohydrates, yes, you know, you might need to do that kind of thing because you just have to keep pouring, um, fuel on this fire that keeps going up, you know. Whereas with, um, you know, this way, it's like, it's pretty good.
Yeah.
Whereas, you know, the other way around, you've got to change a little bit.
So you're actually getting an unfair advantage?
You get an unfair advantage. Absolutely, you get an unfair advantage. Because also you lose that little puppy fat, especially when you get older, which I'll get into about the teenage.
Yes, so that's what I was going to ask you next. It's the only one we haven't covered yet. I mean, what would, you know, why would or how would a program for teenagers help someone?
Yeah, so, you know, as a kid grows up, you go through different stages. Anyone who's had children, it seems.
Anyone who's been a child.
Yeah, I was a child, believe it or not. And, you know, so they hit like 13, they go through puberty, and then their hormones start raging. And, you know, this whole program is based on the endocrine system. So, when their hormones start raging and they start raging the wrong way, it can cause all sorts of trouble with the child's body. You know, there's a start getting all sorts of illnesses. Acne.
Yeah, acne. Weight gain.
Exactly, you know, all of these kinds of things, you know. So, I mean, you get like, some of them just get completely out of hand, you know, and they become uncontrollable. It doesn't have to be that way. I mean, it has got obviously a lot to do with upbringing and who the parents are and everything, but diet is part of it. So, and they're obviously growing as well. They may not, even when they don't gain weight, you know, I mean, your body's producing huge amounts of growth hormone at that time. So that's a fat-burning hormone, you know, so you eat 3 dagwoods and, you know, a few blondies and you don't put on any weight, you lose weight. And I mean, I was like that.
But it doesn't mean you're healthy.
It doesn't mean you're healthy though, no. Yeah, exactly. So, you know, to have a well-balanced Teenager who's going to not— because I mean, that's a period of life where you can actually ruin your life.
And it's stressful these days, exams and choices.
Exactly, you know, so these young kids have got their adrenal glands burning out, you know, they've got all these kinds of things happening to them. And, you know, just put them on the correct eating plan, the correct supplements, and get them through that. And also, you know, have them understand why they're doing it. You know, and how the body works. And give a guy or a girl an education on how the body works, why they're feeling like that, and then, you know, why they should be eating certain things, you know. So then the guy gets on the thing like, oh, okay, I want to live a long time and I want to have a good young adulthood, you know. I don't want to be sick and in hospital, you know. I mean, there's so many young girls with PCOS these days. Crazy, the amount of young girls that have that. I mean, when we were kids, we didn't get that. We were eating whole computers in the '70s and '80s. But now they don't, and they get all sorts of trouble, you know. And it's sad to see because it's like, it's an easy handling. You don't even have to go seek medical attention. Yeah, you can just eat them.
So basically, our programs cover We cover every aspect of a person's life from when they're—
From when they conceive to before they conceive.
And even when they're older, um, you know, and we, we can even help older people, you know, before when they start showing Alzheimer's or, you know, starting to forget things or dementia. We even have a program for that.
Yeah, there's been so many studies that talk about that, you know, they talk about Alzheimer's being basically a diet thing.
Yeah.
You know, and obviously there's lots of people that wouldn't like to believe that, but it is, you know, there's so many studies that point towards that. Like, for instance, epilepsy is a good example. So you've got a few people with epilepsy, and then they get put on some kind of drug which basically suppresses it. But you put the— it's been proven over and over. I mean, it's emphatically proven. that this kind of eating handles epidemics. If a kid eats like this for the rest of his life, he won't have— there was one kid that a doctor in the US helped, and he was getting 7 chips a day, like eating 7 chips a day, and that'll eventually kill you because it's hard, the children don't eat right.
Yes.
You know, when they're doing this, they get thin and then eventually they die, they starve. She put him on an eating plan, and from the next day that he cut out carbohydrates and sugar, he never had another fit. Like, from the next day, it was that easy, you know. So it's like, I don't know why this thing isn't pushed harder. It's like there's so many, so many problems in society that can be handled with this.
So basically, our program is there ready for anybody with anything to get handling. And, uh, all they have to do is ask.
Yeah. And we can do it in Spanish, Afrikaans, English. So we have—
we're busy getting someone to do coaching for us in the UK, German, and Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese.
Um, yeah. And, and I mean, we have someone handling South America for us.
Yeah.
So, so it's like anywhere that you are in the You know, you can, you can do our program and it works. It's like, I'm so confident in this program, you know, it's like anybody can come along. Yeah. And I'd be like, you know, I can help you. Definitely. It's like, I know I can help you. Great.
So what's the next episode about?
The next episode is about—
what is it about? I think we're gonna get some suggestions success stories. Yeah, yeah, I'm going to speak to some of our clients. Yeah, so that's exciting. Then you'll hear it from the horse's mouth.
Yeah, yeah. I mean, you can check out some of the success stories on our website already at bestbodyhealthcoach.com. Yes. Um, but, but, you know, it'll be good to hear it coming out of the horse's mouth. Yeah, like the real person sitting in front of you, you know, being as enthusiastic about it as we are. Yeah. And they do, they come off the program as enthusiastic.
They do, yeah.
They start off— I've yet to find someone who doesn't start off a little bit skeptical, you know, like, I hope it works. And then, you know, it's just like they get into it and they see the gains, or losses, losses which are gains. And, you know, they start having fun with it, you know. And I like to play it as a game with them. Challenge them, challenge each other, challenge themselves.
I like it. Subscribe to our podcast so that you don't miss the next one, and then we'll see you on the next episode.
Yepo! So thanks for watching, we'll see you next time.
Bye! Bye!
