GRDC Western Region 2017 Seed of Light winner - Dr Stephen Davies

So one of the really exciting things, I guess, about the research is being able to work on soils and looking at soil amelioration and managing soil constraints in cropping systems. And it's been a really exciting area to work in because I guess we've been able to make some big changes in terms of better management of soils and overcoming constraints which can make big differences in grain production and just really sustainability of the cropping system. So it's been a really exciting area to work in and there's been a lot of enthusiasm and from the grower groups and the growers that we partner with, and it's been great to work with GRDC and the department in that area.
