In this sermon, the speaker urges listeners to truly believe that their sins are forgiven through Jesus’ finished work on the cross. He argues that such belief should transform how believers view sin and make choices, enabling them to pursue a sin‑free life. While acknowledging that believers will still stumble, the speaker emphasizes that a genuine faith in Christ’s power over sin and death equips believers to choose life over death, trust that God will not allow temptation beyond what they can bear, and actively seek and take the way God provides to escape temptation.

Chapters

Do we believe what, what we are even praying for? Do we believe that our sins are forgiven? That should create a response in you that changes how you view sin. Jesus, I hope we believe what Jesus has done for us on that cross, because if you believe the finished work of that cross and the power that Jesus wielded over sin and death, and knowing that he gave you that power You will believe that you can live a sin-free life. Now, that's not to say that you won't fall, that you won't stumble, but your belief system would guide how you live your life. And when you are presented with a choice, life or death, you will choose life. When temptation comes and you believe that he will never tempt you more than you can bear, when you believe that there's a way out of that temptation, when temptation comes, you will look for that way. And when you find it, you would take it and you will escape. That's belief.
