A sermon on giving without expecting returns. The speaker argues that praying and giving to receive material blessings misses worship's true purpose. Instead, seek God's presence, not His provision, and let Him decide what others receive through you.
Many people come and they give offering, they give gifts, they give all of these things, and in the back of their head, the only reason they're giving is to get more. If the only reason you pray and the only reason you give is so that you can be blessed, you've missed the point of all of these things. The reason we pray, the reason we give, is to simply be a blessing. Whatever God does with your prayer Whatever God does with your giving, it's completely up to him. And God is just like, I just want you to want me. If you want me, I'll give you everything else. Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and these things will be added unto him. Many people want the hand of God but not his face.
