God sends believers into wilderness seasons as intentional training before their promised land, not as punishment. Jesus and Moses both experienced God's wilderness to be tested and prepared. The journey itself is the promise, not an instant miracle.
Chapters
The difference between the wilderness of God and the wilderness of the enemy is that God tells you that he's sending you there. When the enemy puts you in the wilderness, you just wake up there one day. But the Spirit of God led Jesus into the wilderness to be tempted. God told Moses to go tell Pharaoh, let my people go into the wilderness that they can worship. The Spirit of God will always lead you to a season of training before he puts you on that game field. So you have to understand that the promises of God are not always going to be snap of a finger magic tricks. It's a process, and that process is the most important part. The journey is the destination. The process is the promise.
