A speaker connects historical oppression to modern materialism, arguing that the same forces that enslaved people now drive them to chase wealth. He invokes scripture to urge listeners to reject shame and embrace their purpose, rooted in their past.
For hundreds of years, we looked up to a man with a whip. But even years later, we still look up to that man with the whip. But the whip has evolved to a motorized vehicle with 4 wheels, which we push rocks and make deals from the purses of our own mothers. We steal, look into the eyes of our own brother right before we kill to see how that beamer bends and barely feels. The Bible says, let God be true and every man a liar. Every man that is telling you to be ashamed, every man that is putting disgrace on your back, every man that is trying to put you back to where God brought you from, let God be true and every one of them a liar.
