A personal finance strategy called forced savings uses retirement accounts, investment accounts, and dedicated savings accounts to keep money out of reach and growing. You want to know how I bought my house at 27 or paid for my vow renewal? I'm no longer gatekeeping. It's through this financial framework called forced savings, or as I like to call it, hiding money. If you see that money constantly in your account, you're probably going to spend it. So you need to do something about it. There's a verse in Ecclesiastes 5:11 that says, when goods increase, they increase who eats them. Which basically means when you have more money, there's gonna be more people that spend it. Forced savings is the concept of hiding money in accounts before it hits your typical checking account or the account that you use for day-to-day spending. So I've been able to hide money in 3 types of accounts. The first one is hiding money in a retirement account. The second is hiding money in an investment account. And then the third is hiding money in a savings account. In all of these situations, situations when I needed to come up with funds for certain things, I remembered an account that I only check probably once or twice a year. And every time I look in there, there's money. For example, during COVID there was a situation where they allowed you to withdraw money from your 401(k) without penalty. Because I had money in that account, I was able to use that to put a down payment on my house. I have a forced savings account on an app that just takes money out of my check without me really knowing it. If you hide that money when you need it, you will be able to find it. And bonus points if you hide it in accounts that appreciate, earn interest, or earn some type of return. You will never regret hiding your money like this. I'm going to be talking about this more. If you want to learn more, follow me. I'm talking about how to build your faith and future in 2026. All right. Peace.
