Because of Jesus' death and resurrection, altars shifted from fixed locations to the believers themselves—making each person the temple of God. Consequently, believers can now commune with the Spirit of God anywhere, without needing a designated altar or sacrificial system.

As believers, the medium for us to exchange with God is an altar. And something amazing happened when Jesus died and rose again. What happened is that altars went from physical places. You no longer had to create an altar and then sacrifice animals as a means of exchange. The Bible now says that you became the altar, that you are the temple of God, meaning now You can have this exchange with the Spirit of God anywhere you go.
