The secret to winning in business is to be able to do the same task day in and day out without seeing any immediate reward and continue to do it for years on end. Now, I started most of my companies 2.5 years ago, haven't paid myself throughout the whole process. I've just been reinvesting, reinvesting, reinvesting. And yes, while I retired my wife from teaching, she just works full-time in the companies. It's not like we don't work all the time. We've invested for 2.5 years back into our company again and again and again, 100% of the proceeds, until we were able to hit our goals. Now, right now I'm building a house in Texas and it looks like, oh yeah, I made it, I get a I'm going to move out of Washington. And we did not pay ourselves for about 2 and a half years learning how to do this. If you want to win in business, you have to have the discipline to continue to invest in yourself and your company until your company is large enough to self-sustain. For me, 2 and a half years could be longer, could be shorter for you. That's what works.
