In this short motivational video, Cody shares three practical tips for people who are starting with no money or connections and want to build wealth, particularly through real‑estate investing. First, he stresses the importance of committing to a meaningful, ambitious goal that will have a lasting impact, rather than a modest target that offers little motivation. Second, he explains that a "sacrifice period" is inevitable; he illustrates this with his own experience of spending every weekend driving three hours to work on rental properties, emphasizing that hard work and personal sacrifice are required when you start from nothing. Third, he warns against "shiny‑object syndrome" and advises viewers to pick one market or strategy, master it, and avoid hopping between opportunities. By staying focused and disciplined, Cody claims you can accelerate your progress and stand out from peers who spread their effort across multiple ventures. The video ends with a call to subscribe and a wish for a great week.

Hey, what's up guys? This is Cody and it is 1:38 AM today. Just got back in the office and I wanted to create a short video. I was overworking on the rentals this past weekend and today's video is all about the 3 tips that I would like to share with folks who are starting out at the very beginning that have no connections, no money. And so with that, number 1, the very first tip that I'd like to share with you guys is for those of you who are just starting out, is start with a commitment. If you start with a commitment and it's a meaningful why, what is your meaningful goal that you will work towards? The idea behind this is if you're working towards $100, that $100, even if you get it, is not gonna be meaningful and have a huge impact on your life for a long period of time. Set a meaningful goal, whether it's $100,000, whatever your target is, whether it's money, whether it is something non-monetary, set a target that will significantly impact your future and keep a commitment towards that. Whether it's for your career, whether it's for building your business, build a massive target that you can work towards and that'll keep you motivated. Which really leads into the second point here: understand that there will be a sacrifice period. And if you don't have a solid why, a solid reason, a meaningful goal behind what you're doing, it's going to be really hard to work through the sacrifice period. Understanding this, and this is my tip number 2, understand that there will be a period where it gets tough. I've been spending every single weekend for the past month and a half just working diligently at my rentals, which are 3 hours away. And so I just got back from a 3-hour drive here early in the morning. But I've been spending every single weekend, a lot of time during the weeks prepping those units, getting them ready to where I can rent them out because there are some people that completely trash the apartments. There's a sacrifice period that I'm going through, and if you're starting with nothing, then you typically have to go through these periods. If you've already got the money to invest, you might be able to put yourself in a better situation, but if you're starting with nothing, you're much more likely to go through something like this where you have to sacrifice a lot to get to your targets. And number 3, don't deviate from the path. This has been one of the biggest tips that I have started implementing and learning about myself and my business as I watch some of my friends implement this in their business. I see a lot of folks who are starting to deviate from the path. They see something— shiny object syndrome. They see something that looks cool, they go try it out, and it takes them further away from their actual reason behind getting started. And so whether you want to be in real estate, you want to start your business, you're becoming a broker, pick one strategy and stick to it. Put all your eggs into one basket. That's what I do personally. I picked one market and I put all my eggs into that basket. I'm trying to master that market and it's launching me light years ahead of some of the folks I'm seeing that are trying to go into one market and then they find another, then they find another because it's supposed to be up and coming. But just picking one, learning everything about it, whether that's for business, for real estate, for becoming a real estate agent, pick one field and become a master at it and you'll be able to launch light years ahead, especially starting with nothing. If you just pick one thing, become sharp as a tack on that subject, you're going to stand out, you're going to shine. So with that, those are my 3 tips. Hope you guys have a great week. I'll see you guys in a couple days, and if you like the channel, please do subscribe. Thanks.
