Hello, my friends. Welcome to today's episode. It's part number three of a series four part series where I am covering a new life with wellness wheel. We've got 2022 is knocking on our doors. Oh my gosh. Are you just. Can you believe it? I can't believe it. I feel like the last two years have been incredibly slow, but yet they're so fast. I blinked and here we are. I don't know, it's a weird feeling, but we are getting ready to create a new you as we enter the new year. In part number one, I covered the importance of living with balance, caring for physical and social wellness. Part number two, we focused on financial and intellectual wellness. Today, I'm diving into the two E's, environmental and emotional categories. To recap, in case this is the first time you're joining me, how does the Wellness Wheel work? The idea of the Wellness Wheel is very simple. Balance the different areas of your life and your overall life, peace and happiness will improve. The more your life will be imbalanced, you will have less of those big swings, fewer super highs and super lows. It'll be very balanced and peaceful. It's a bit more complex than that. But ultimately, once you have each of the Wellness Wheel elements balanced, you will start seeing a shift. It's about living life to its fullest and maintaining continuous positive activity to keep us healthy and happy. I want you to remember this. You are the center of the Wellness Wheel. You are. Your happiness depends on the Wellness Wheel components to being balanced. Once you understand where you're at with each of those components, you'll be able to set goals for each of them and work on striving to make those balances all absolutely perfect in your life. There are eight areas of our lives that when in balance, you will find that blissful place of peace. Those areas are physical, social, financial, intellectual, environmental, emotional, career and spiritual. If you pause and think about what keeps you up at night, undeniably the nighttime struggle is because one of those areas of the Wellness Wheel is out of balance. If you cannot stand your career or your job, you hate it so much right there, your wheel is out of balance. If we're honest with ourselves, most of us even have more than one area, causing life to go off the rails, preventing that balance and peace. So today I'm going to dive into Environmental and emotional. So what can you do to improve your environment? First of all, remove the toxins. There are so many things in your home that are toxic, poisonous, that are affecting you in ways that you do not even realize. Check the labels on all of your cleaning products. Everything that is in the kitchen, underneath the kitchen sink, as well as in your bathroom and in your laundry room. Check those labels of those cleaning products. Anything that has a poisonous warning on it should not be in your home. Make it a goal to replace all of those poisonous cleaning products and beauty products. Don't forget the beauty products. Know what you're putting on your skin. I promise you it will make a tremendous difference. Don't fall victim to big corporate marketing. For example, do you remember this? It's not clean unless it's Clorox clean. It's a 60 year old lie that is killing us. It's poisonous. Get rid of the clutter. Tidy up your room and your workspace. The actual environment in which you immerse yourself in every day matters. Make sure your space is clean, happy, positive and peaceful. Have you ever walked into a home where someone was a hoarder? Do you remember how you felt when you walked in that room and there was so much clutter and disorganization and dirt and filth and disgusting? Your environment that you immerse yourself in every day is very similar to that. Make it a place that you feel so good to be in. Set yourself up to be productive and successful. So what can you do to make an impact on the world's environment? First of all, make an effort to reduce waste or choose environmentally friendly consumer goods. Refillable water bottles and recycling are two suggestions. Even consider volunteering in your community to pick up trash or plant trees. There's so many different ways for you to contribute. If you just do an Internet search, you will come up with so many different environmental ideas. So in the environmental category, did you notice that there's different components of your environment? It's the toxins that are in your environment. Chemicals, the things that you bring into your home that's part of it. Also the cluttering of your environment. The space that you live in, the space that you work, as well as our world's environment. So there's three different. Three different bullet points, really, that go into the environment. Emotional wellness. Emotional and mental wellness is more important than ever. And I think all of us can say that we've been challenged emotionally over the last couple of years. Many of you have suffered incredible, incredible losses. You've lost family Members, our emotions have been challenged because of isolation, fear. But part of our wellness wheel that we have to address is getting our emotional balance in check. It goes without saying that we are all different and respond differently to different emotions. Some people are more emotional than others. We all react in our own unique way. Sometimes our situations and comparing our situations to others will only amplify our emotions. So truly, friends, if you're having a bad day, just stay off of social media. Social media really doesn't serve you well. It really doesn't. Stress is a big factor in our emotional wellness. Stress comes in many different packages. Lack of sleep can trigger stress. Family and work situations can trigger stress. The events of our world cause stress and can affect us emotionally. A few solutions to emotional wellness first of all, never, never be afraid to seek a therapist. Ever. There is absolutely no shame in that. Your emotional wellness is nothing to take lightly. And there there are certainly times where hiring a licensed therapist makes sense and is the best solution to your situation. Hire a life coach. Someone who can assist you in keeping you steady through life. Someone who can help keep you accountable with your thoughts. Because your thoughts trigger feelings. Your feelings really trigger your emotions, which then trigger action. So for the most part, you are responsible for your emotions, for how you feel. Having someone in your life to help keep you steady, lock arms with you is really, really important. Don't be afraid to ask for help. A daily routine of gratitude and prayer can help. Or practice meditation or yoga. Just. Friends, never neglect your emotional wellness. There's absolutely no shame in caring for your emotional wellness. If you need any help in emotional wellness, I am here for you. Please email me Pamela Jean a new life gmail.com and we'll schedule a phone call. And let's talk. I don't want someone to feel that they are at their wit's end, that they have nothing left in life. When, friends, you do. If you know of someone who is down in the dumps, suffers from depression and is battling it daily, please reach out to them today. Reach out to them today. Our emotions have been challenged the last couple of years, really because of things that were of no fault of our own. So if you know of someone that emotionally needs you today, reach out to them. Make a phone call, send a text, stop by their house, go see them. Take care of everybody around you. Friends, the simple act of kindness can make or break somebody's day. That takes care of part number three. Today, friends, tomorrow we're going to dig into part number four, our last part. And we're going to talk about career and spiritual wellness. We're going to dive into finding a profession with purpose. Purpose that's bigger than you. And spiritual wellness areas of your life that when you have all in balance, allows you a place of peace. It allows you to step into 22. 2022. A new year and create a new life. Friends, make it a great day. Have a beautiful day. Make an effort to be kind to every person you meet. You just don't know the battle that someone else is fighting underneath the surface and behind that fake smile. Be kind and I'll see you back here tomorrow.
