Hello, friends, and welcome to this week's episode of A New Life podcast. I'm so glad you're here to join me today. This is officially the last podcast of 2020. It's hard to believe after this long year that we've had that it's finally nearing an end. It's exciting. I hope that through this year, as challenging as it has been, I hope that you have found some silver linings, that you were able to create some amazing things this year, despite all of the challenges and the heartache and the setbacks that perhaps you've experienced, as many of us have with this very challenging year. I think it's always important for us to understand that setbacks are setups. You get set back on something, but it's actually setting you up for something even better. So I do hope that you have found some incredible silver linings and have created some amazing wins with this very challenging year. So today I want to ask you a question as we get ready for 2021. Let me ask you this. Are you ready to create a new relationship with yourself? Think about that for just a second. Are you ready to create a new relationship with you? Have you ever thought about why you think the way you think, why you are the way you are, and why you react to things in the way that you do? I think we all need to take a step back and work on having a better understanding of ourselves in an effort to create a better relationship with ourself, ultimately loving yourself from the inside out. So let's just walk through this a little bit. Many people find themselves in adult abusive relationships. When you have been in that situation, you discover that you may have gone through something similar to that as a child. This is not the case for everyone. However, it is for the majority of people. If you grew up in a situation where you had a parent who was a narcissist, sociopath, an alcoholic, an addict, or someone with just a manipulative character, you likely have found yourself in an adult relationship with similar personalities. Now, this happens oftentimes because if that was your normal growing up, that's going to be the normal that you live with under as an adult. As a result of those experiences from your childhood, you may have developed some patterns, such as people pleasing that you are the one that is always trying to please other people to keep everyone else happy. To fix everyone else. Well, I'm here to tell you if you find yourself to be one of those people that is trying to fix everybody else's problems or fix everybody else's world. Some people just simply don't know that they need fixing, nor do they want fixing. But that that comes from being that people pleasing person. Are you always trying to seek approval? Are you looking for approval that everything you do, you hope that someone recognizes it and sees it and you get their approval? Are you trying to save somebody with your love? You know, there's something that I learned years ago is that you cannot love a person enough for them to do the right thing. So are you trying to save somebody with your love? Do you overextend your compassion? Pretending like everything is okay when it is absolutely not. Where you stuff down your own feelings, needs, emotions and your own perception of reality just to pretend that everything is okay. Truly friends, this is a telltale sign of codependency. Now I never understood codependency until I really did a deep dive and studied and educated and had some coaching and therapy on codependency. Codependency is something that many of us experience, have deal with however you want to say it. And codependency can be one of those things that is out of a place of love. It doesn't mean it's necessarily out of negativity or hatred or anger. Codependency is something that truly comes out of love. In many cases where you're trying to control situations in your life and others lives because you do really want the best for them. But codependency is a source of negative abuse and negative connotation that honestly is not serving you. The abuse that these learned habits and behaviors might have caused you to experience. Suppressed anger, depression, anxiety. You have a lot of self doubt, low self esteem, I mean a crushing low self esteem where you never feel like you're good enough. You find yourself to feel like you're hopeless and helpless and powerless. Well friends, if you find yourself in that position today and you're truly sick and tired of being sick and tired like this, then it is time for you to do something about it. The years and years of condition and abuse that you have suffered and endured has created you to be the way that you are today. To think the way that you think. If you think back to an instant when you were in elementary school or high school, or even younger than that, your earliest memory of trauma. What is that? I want you to say it out loud. Say it to yourself in your head or say it out loud if you're driving in your car listening to this. But I want you to identify one of your first memories of trauma. And what I want you to remember and think about is how that moment still guides your thoughts, your decision making and your ability to love yourself. Have high self esteem, confidence. How that piece of time, that moment in time has molded you into who you are and how you think today. That's what's so crazy. Sometimes that earliest memory might be from when you're five years old. It might be as a teenager or a young adult. Whatever that moment is for you, I want you to stop and think about the power that it has and the power that it that is controlling in your life today. So when I talk about creating a new relationship with yourself, I want you to know you have tremendous power over your life. You have just forgotten that because of all of the abuse and the dysfunction that you have endured, you have the ability to transform your life. No matter how many years, how many years you have suffered and how many years you have lived with that dysfunction. I'm not going to lie. It's going to be hard to re parent yourself from that childhood trauma. It's not going to be easy to move past that abusive, toxic relationship. It's not going to be easy to learn to love yourself again. You're going to open up some old wounds. You're going to feel some old things that you only thought you buried deep in your soul. But friends, if you don't repair what has happened in your life, it's only going to repeat. It's going to repeat over and over and over and it's going to show itself in different areas of your life in ways that you don't even realize it's happening. So you have to repair those problems. You have to repair that dysfunction and that abuse so you don't repeat the same mistakes. You don't repeat that same vicious cycle that you have grown up with. You can transform your life. I promise you, you can. It's not easy, it will be hard work. But one thing I will tell you is that you are absolutely worth it. You are worth every effort. You are worth every tear that you're going to shed during this process. You are worth it. My friends. You are the one that you have been waiting for to save yourself. Friends, you can retrain your brain to see yourself differently, to love yourself more. You have to eradicate these self sacrificing patterns that you have been repeating over and over and over again. You need to Learn self compassion in the same way that you would have compassion to someone else. You have to see yourself through different eyes. You have to understand and perhaps relive some of that trauma for you to re parent yourself through those moments. You are worth every, every moment of this. So one of the things that I can say COVID 19 and the COVID crisis of 2020 has done for me is it has prompted me to create a course, a self mastery course that I can share with you. In the course that I've created, you will master 11, 11 domains of self care and ultimately self love. It's a 12 week program where there are 11 modules of teaching you how to love yourself from the inside out. It's teaching you how to forgive yourself for the mistakes that you've made. It's teaching you how to re parent yourself through that childhood trauma. It's teaching you to let go of all of those things that you are self sabotaging yourself with today. You have abandoned yourself through all of the chaos. But I'm here to tell you, you can develop a healthy relationship with yourself. Self care is the path of healing after abuse. When you practice intentional self care, you will begin to break the cycle of the abuse that you are holding against yourself. And I'm telling you that you are absolutely worth it, my friends. So in this 12 week class, this 12 week course, you get to work at your own pace. If one of the weeks is very trying and hard and hurts your heart and hurts your soul, then you know what friends? Take a week off. You don't have to keep up with the pace of the course because you get full lifetime access to this course. So if the 12 week course takes you 24 weeks to get through, that is okay. You get to work on this at your own pace and in your own way. Part of this mastery course is going to include a private Facebook group where you get to connect, connect with other women that are in the same boat as you. So when you're talking about self sabotage and you're talking about the trauma and abuse that you've endured, you have other women to talk to, to be a part of, to this beautiful community that you get to be together in and share your stories and help each other heal and nurture each other, because I'm here to tell you friends, you think that you were the only one going through something really traumatic. You're the only one that suffered sexual abuse growing up, that lived with an alcoholic, that lived with a narcissistic sociopath. You're not alone in Fact, when you start sharing your story, you will be shocked at how many people raise their hand and say, oh, my goodness, I went through that, too. That was the same. We are the same. I promise you, that is the truth. Also, during this 12 weeks, we're going to have a guest coach. Who. I will not reveal who that is yet. I'm so excited. But there's going to be a guest coach that's going to help with some meditation and some extra levels of mindset that you are going to love. You are going to love. And I'll be jumping in the Facebook group once a week for the entire 12 weeks to do a Q and A, a question and answer. So if you're having problems with a module, if you're having problems with the healing, if you're stuck in a certain area, we do some coaching where we coach together. Now, if you're not available at the time that we have the Q and A scheduled, no worries whatsoever. You will submit your questions ahead of time. Those questions will be answered, and the live video will always stay within that group, so you can access that at your convenience. Now, obviously, if we can have you there, great. But I get that schedules are crazy and schedules are hard to always connect with multiple people. That'll always be there for you. So, friends, as we get ready to bring in a new year, I'm so excited for 2021. I seem to get that way with every new year because I feel like it's an opportunity to push a massive reset button. And let's be honest, we have needed a reset button from 2020. I mean, I went into 2020 feeling like this was an amazing going to be an amazing year. My word of the year was focus, and I was going to be 2020 focused. I think we all felt that way, and quickly the rug was pulled out from underneath us. But if I look back at 2020, I have so many things to be grateful for. First of all, this podcast. This podcast never would have happened without 2020 happening. It wouldn't have. Having a podcast and creating one has been on the back burner for a very long time for me. So Covid pushed it to the front burner. Thank you, Covid. Creating this course so I can teach and share and reach more women. Massive amounts of women would never have happened if it weren't for Covid in 2020. So thank you, Covid, for that. We've got to find your silver linings, friends. We've got to. So for a limited time, access to the modules is going to be At a very, very reduced price. This is going to be a founding member's price. I'm limiting how many founding members that we will have. So that number is going to be 10 people. So the first 10 people that want access to the 12 week modules of Learning to love yourself from the inside Out, a self mastery course, the price is only 3.97 and I can break that up into multiple price, multiple payments if that works best for you. But the the founding member group is only limited to 10 people. So I'm going to post a link to my website in the description. And also if you want to DM me for more information, I'm happy to have a conversation with you as well. But friends, as we move into the New year, ask yourself this Am I ready to create a new relationship with myself? Are you ready? Because when you love yourself from the inside out, that will eliminate every hesitation and self doubt that has ever plagued you. You will face every situation with confidence and the knowledge knowing that you can handle anything that dream that you have put off and put off and put off because you have that fear of what if I fail? What if it doesn't work out? You're going to go after that dream with a vengeance because you have this newfound confidence and love for yourself and you know that you are going to be able to accomplish anything you set your mind to. Thank you my friends for this community. Thank you for following this podcast. You have no idea how much you inspire me and how much you mean to me.
