I Tried The Rank 1 Master Yi's Build... It Was INSANE

Hey guys, it's Perry Norman. Today we're playing Master Yi, copying the rank 1 Master Yi player right now. Off to a good start. He goes a Halo Blade setup, Kraken Slayer into Collector crit build. He does not play your traditional on-hit Master Yi. So I'm very, very, very, very, very excited to show you guys how powerful this build actually is. Now, the thing about Master Yi as a champion is he needs the most amount of discipline, most amount of items and economy. I've ever seen. If you fuck up on this champion, I mean, like a lot of assassins, you fuck up, you're screwed. But if you really fuck up on Yi, give them a lot of gold, give them a lot of like your tempo, you don't farm efficiently, you are absolutely cooked on this champ. So I need to play a really disciplined game. I'm going to show you guys the best I can. I'm going to farm for my items. Farming for your items very fast is what makes this champion so broken. If you hit your items and power spikes before the enemies or even Like, even if you're even to the enemies and you're just hitting your power spikes, you will take over a game on this champion. Uh, but this champion is all about receiving enemy mistakes and doing good based off what they do. So if they fuck up, good, you can play into that. If they don't fuck up, then you wait, you wait, you wait, you wait, because you're playing a game called League of Legends where the enemies will inevitably make mistakes. That's just the nature of a game like League. So Qiyana is clearing down, I am clearing up. I will have pressure in the top lane I want to play into this GP, and I don't know if GP flashed earlier. My Kled did not ping it. I'm gonna assume he didn't. We'll still look for a top play after this red buff. What I'm gonna do here is likely this GP had got a ward in the tri bush, which a lot of you guys might— this is probably warded, and maybe the bot river has a Scryer's Ward on it. So instead of pathing like that, I'm gonna path this way, and I'm gonna, I'm gonna try to like— or die this gank flank. Ping here, let's ping here. The GP, we just heard it, he just used his berries or his oranges. And then now we can just easily dive this guy. My Kled wants to start, that's fine, he can start because he's playing, uh, Kled with passive. Now we can recall here, we have a nice early kill. Let's go ahead and buy our recurve bow. We could buy a long sword and then a dagger and then go straight to the bot side. The reason why I'm going this setup with recurve bow and dagger, not only because the rank 1 player does it but because this is the most amount of attack speed that you can get from the Kraken. And with more Qs in the early game, you are clearing faster. Um, just because your Q is a lot of your damage on the camps. So I like this because I feel like I'm clearing so much quicker than if I had more Longswords. And we're off to a really great start with an early kill. Again, Master Yi loves playing for economy and resources. That's why I'm also pathing top lane because I know Kled with Ignite and the, um, GP with ignite, it's going to be a bloodbath, right? We're gonna fight hard on top side. That's why I'm doing this sort of setup where I'm pathing towards the top lane. My Kled's gonna keep fighting top lane. Good for you. I'm gonna grab all my camps first to guarantee that I have everything. Maybe on this wave right here, if the GP walks up, which he 100% will because he needs to play for the next wave, I can go pressure him. Like, if you're GP here, you might want to push this next top wave. Oh, yep, I fucking called it, guys. What the fuck did I say? What did I say? Haha, dude, top— like, laners in general are too fucking predictable. If you are GP there, you solo kill the enemy, you're, you're thinking, how do I punish the enemy, like, top laner the hardest? And it's, it's all based off waves. Like, if I take the enemy wave here for the Kled. Kled loses the entire cannon minion wave and more, so I'm gonna play into that, and I find myself a nice juicy free kill. Okay, let's look to recall here and then again restart the clear all the way towards top side. It kind of sucks at the top crab, uh, it spawns top crab instead of bot crab, but it's all good here. Let's recall, go down. We can buy ourselves the Heartbound Axe. We can also buy a Retrix and then another dagger— or not a dagger. Oh, we can't. So yeah, this is probably more gold inefficient. Let's go path here. Dragon is taken down by a bit. They can't do shit to the Drake. We're fighting hard on the bot side. I'm gonna make sure I run with Homeguards so I can get there as quickly as I possibly can. Gnar just flashed in. It's one kill for us, great. And now I'm gonna go clear all the way up towards the top side. We wanna play for this top laner, this GP. We're gonna keep killing him. If GP doesn't push waves, what he's going to need to do is he's going to need to like catch waves, right? So if GP is not pushing, then he's going to be under his turret. We're playing a champion that does great into diving. Also, we have a Kled, which is also great for diving. So either way, this guy will get astronomically cooked when we come towards the top side and pressure him. Oh, so we clear as fast as we can, go to the top side, and they're cooked. Look at my Kled. My Kled's just fucking working him, and this GP is going to recall. Whatever he does, I will, I will pressure him and he will lose resources. So I will either pressure him on the freeze, or if he catches the wave, I'll pressure him when he catches the wave. So a lot of people are thinking free drag here, like maybe, maybe I can play for dragon, why not? I am playing for resources on a champion like Master Yi. I purely care about economy. That is like my number one goal. And honestly speaking, This Qiyana is going to go hit the top wave again. Like, like, even laners want to push top waves, so we can go ahead and pressure this Qiyana here. Great, we got another kill. Katarina staying alive is a bit unfortunate for my teammate, but it's completely fine. I'm going to go back to my camps, and again play for economy, play for gold. I don't care about anything other than gold. So if I'm not getting gold this game, I'm not going to be strong on this champion. So you're not an objective-focused champ. You're purely focused on getting more gold and progressing the game that way. His wolves are up. Where is Qiyana? Red Krugs and wolves are up. So she's on the Raptors. Raptors are up. She's on the drag. She's on the Grubs. I'm so confused. Does she AFK? Like, what's going on? Now my bot lane's not weak. We have Ashe ult. Kled's also coming down towards the bot side. So because of this, we could go ahead and look to invade her bot camps. I think she's— okay, there she is. So never mind, no, no, no more playing to the bot side. I'm just going to go into the top side here and then play for the Grubs. And then if Kled goes bot lane and does his thing, I'm just going to go solo kill the GP. So the moment my Kled shows, the GP is going to play like a psychopath. And we're gonna use that timer to go kill this guy top lane. Right, now this GP is like, "Ooh, I can use all my barrels." Let's wait till he uses a barrel. There we go. Then we can Q at the end here. Whoa, okay, I most definitely fucked that up. But like, they also had Soraka, but I most definitely fucked that up. Like, I don't think there's any world where I should have lost that 1v1. I mean, all my Master Yi mains, they probably know what the fuck I did wrong, but like, I'm going to guess here, I didn't use my W to defend against anything. And I didn't, like, use my Hail of Blades correctly. Wait, like, wow. GP is too fucking strong, I guess. Let's continue with our, you know, clear. Just keep getting stronger. I mean, the thing about Yi is Yi's power spike is like 3 items. Like, 3+ items is Yi's like strongest, strongest point. I mean, I'm gonna— Guys, if I can't kill this Yunara, I know she has Kraken. If I cannot kill this Yunara, there's a problem with this champion. And maybe it's me, maybe I'm the problem, but like, no way this Ynara lives, right? I refuse to believe. I'm going to E early, keep autoing. Okay, right? Like, I thought that that's what was going to happen to the enemy, like, GP, but it just didn't happen to him. After this Drake, what we can go ahead and do is play for the Qiyana's bot camp. It's going to she's dead. Okay, it's just like getting into— like, we're, we're now entering good territory where the game is like getting more and more even, which is what I like. Gnar is up here. So if we ever see that Yonah by herself straggling, can definitely kill her too. We have our Collector very soon. We see that Qiyana is in the bot side, so she's probably going for Krugs. She might go for her, uh, the bot crab as well. So what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna play into that and I'm gonna go defend. Oh my God, best part is this Ashe gets to live. How crazy is that, guys? Ashe gets to do that and then live. So what we can do here is this, this, this Yonah is going to push this wave here, and then this guy has no flash, so we can easily kill him. We can just— you can just like work through him cuz Yonah has no flash. I have my item. LeBlanc is very fed. It's an assassin teammate here. So if GP goes to hit the wave here, I could, I could fuck him up. Over here while he pressures the dive. So I'll beat him 1v1, bro. I need to stop using my W like that and my Q like that. And, and I flashed into him instead of away from him. Like, dude, this GP is in my fucking head, bro. And this dumbass Soraka keeps ulting to keep this GP alive, man. Like, it's just so fucking sad. Nah, this GP is actually in my head, bro. He's done. He's fucking me up. He's fucking my shit up, bro. Okay, so the game is about me and LeBlanc. My Kled's also really strong too, to be honest. They're— uh, Katarina's playing really well, so they have a good fighting chance this game. No, they're like my job. I guess Master Yi is not like a full, full one-shot champ. Like you kind of have to play a little slower than I'm playing. I'm going too fast, so I gotta go a little bit slower when I'm playing, otherwise I'll just get completely cooked, completely one-shot. And yeah, okay, I'm learning a little— I'm learning a little more about this champ. I can see why, like, you know, Ivan mentioned it, like early game, right at the start of the game, you need more discipline on this champ, and I'm lacking the discipline, guys. I gotta go slow. We can pressure without LeBlanc. We have 2 items. We do want to do everything with LeBlanc. Sett is going to go top lane. Okay, this fucking Herald is probably not ours. I can at least play with my Skarner here. Holy fuck, that's my bot lane right there, guys. That, that was a display of what my bot lane can— is capable of. What is this Qiyana doing?

I'm gonna, I'm gonna wipe everyone here. Wow, I am going to wipe everyone here because my Kled went in. I was playing cleanup crew. I one-shot the Soraka. Dude, this champ is fun. It's a fun cleanup champ. I mean, like, it functions the same as a champion like Viego, to be honest. This champion's a lot more chill than I expected. He's kind of like a reset champ. He kind of has the one-shot potential. You need to know your limits. I like this. I like this champ a lot. I feel like I've been missing out on such a fun champion. Okay, we almost have our IE. We can buy all the components for IE. We can also buy like the Gluttonous Boots. I feel like the Gluttonous Boots are being purchased very early on by the rank 1 E. Wow, I feel fuck— I feel strong. Like I'm gonna carry this game strong. And it's not going to be close. Like, I, I just fucking right-clicked him. I just fucking right-clicked him and he just— he's dead. I had no idea there was a Qiyana coming for me. I didn't think I fucking one-shot his ass, but I did. And he, and he like, he just couldn't even live. If these guys pressure too far in the mid lane, I can go crazy here. Don't look like they are. I'm really close to my IE though, so I do want to play for IE. Oh, they found our Kled. They found Kledy-poo, and they're going deep. I didn't flash. I didn't flash fast enough. Fuck. No, the Soraka flashing and me not flashing for the Soraka is my bad, dude. This GP is the bane of my existence. No, guys, have you noticed this GP is actually the bane of my existence? He has some armor, so let's go for an LDR. Let's go for like a Mortal Reminder at least. But like, holy shit, this GP is I hate him, I hate him. That was flash, flash, flash. But the GP is actually fucking my shit up, like it's not even funny, yo, it's not even funny. Okay, with GP being dead though, I feel like he's like their entire team, like GP and carry are their entire team. Like maybe we can play for this, but we should definitely play for this Baron. I'm gonna melt this Baron, I don't want to tank this. I fucking deal so much damage to this. Sorry, sorry, I want to win, guys. Like, why am I getting pinged? Sorry, I'm interested in fucking winning this game. People are like pinging me for pinging so much, but I'm just trying to win, guys. Like, let's just, let's just calm down. We're going to full clear everything, cuz again, Master Yi is still a champion that wants to play for economy, play for gold. No items, no strength, no levels, no strength. Who's our priority target? I mean, if it's like whoever, whoever's in the front Whoever we can hit, we prioritize. I mean, in an ideal world, we kill their fucking GP, I guess. Can go hard here. I I, I think, I think I like, I think my brain froze. I think my brain froze. I think I killed the Inara and like I wasn't sure if I'm supposed to go hit the Katarina, which I'm pretty sure if I just hit the Katarina I kill everyone there. My brain actually just froze. My LeBlanc can kill or no? I keep inting, I keep inting. Like, the small ints, the small ints are fucking my game over, guys. And this is what I mean, guys, like, discipline on this champ is so important, cuz now they're going to start buying Zhonyas, they have like armor. I should still steamroll them, like, who, who am I kidding? But I have to be a little careful, be a bit careful. I'm going to dodge this ward here. Oh, no way, no way my Skarner couldn't ult there. I fucked up. I think we lose the fight now. I'm dead. If, if my teammates win, I'd be surprised. Maybe they can. They broke the barrel. My LeBlanc's kind of strong. Well played, well played. Well played, well played to my team, man. I'm inting, guys. This champ is like, you need to play a lot of Yi. I think you need like 30+ games on this champ to really understand your limits. Like, I die twice to GP because I don't know my limits. I die into this mid fight because I, I don't know like who I should kill. I fucking dive here and I just like, I think I could kill the Katarina. I fuck it up. This last fight, I fuck it up. Oh, it's hard, it's hard. But anyway, my team is pretty, pretty strong at least. Uh, they're doing well. But yeah, this champ is so glass cannon heavy and you can't disrespect whatsoever. I deal so much damage, but if I, if I get hit by anything, any kind of big CC, like, I'm fucked. So I really have to just wait. I literally have to just fucking wait the entire time. So next fight, that's exactly what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna sit in the corner and just stare. So if you catch me going in and killing myself, guys, Just know I'm a big noob. Okay, so this next fight, let's see how big of a noob we are. I will not go in first and kill myself. I will wait. Okay, well, this fucking Soraka is not happy. Tunar is dead as fuck too. I don't need to use my ulti here, I should save my R. Jesus, I guess that— I guess that's Master Yi for you. Okay, if they face check me, I can just one-shot them. Guys, I don't know the Hail of Blades combo. Do I use my W with the Hail of Blades or not? I keep fucking that up. I don't think they're going to expect me to be here. GP could come for the top wave, Soraka could come for the vision, Katarina could come mid lane for pressure. Anybody can come here. Qiyana could walk the wrong way.

We waited in a bush, we waited for a long time, and then we went in and we fucking dominated. I mean, that's how you do it, right? You have to play patient on this champion. If you play— if you don't play patient, you're cooked. So I'm gonna wait again. I'm just gonna sit and wait and fuck them up like that. Okay, we have our Dust Dance. Let's go for Dust Dance.
