If You Can't Track The Jungler, Watch This Video - How JUNGLE TRACKING Can Be Your BIGGEST STRENGTH

Perry Norman plays Lee Sin jungle and shows how to track the enemy Jarvan IV by monitoring camps and CS, then uses that information to coordinate ganks and invades with teammates. He demonstrates how early vision and predicting the enemy's path lets you control the map and convert a lead into a dominant mid-late game.

Hey guys, it's Perry Norman. Today I'm going to show you guys how to properly jungle track and use that jungle tracking to transition a lead into the mid-late game. We're playing Lee Sin, we have Conqueror, Triumph, Alacrity, Coup, Magical Footwear, Cosmic Insight. We're going to go for probably an Eclipse, Sundered Sky build. Maybe not, we'll see how fed we get. But jungle tracking, so where do we begin? It really depends if you can get an early ward or not. If you ping, get your teammates to ward, it's great. In this game we have a nice early ward anyway. So the first things first, first step is Your third camp, usually, usually their third camp is always going to be Raptors or Wolves. And in this case, as you can see, we have vision of the Raptors. So if by the time we're in our third camp, he is not on his third camp— oh, we can't— wait, what, what the fuck? Yo, okay, so we see him, we see him on his Raptor camp. This is— I don't know what the fuck his path is, but let's see where he paths here. So what's really important is we click on him and we watch him, and he's going all the way to Krugs. So he just did red buff Raptors into Krugs. I have never seen that path, like, in a while. It's been a minute, but he decided to do that. Maybe because he got a leash from Shaco. I have no idea. But what's really important there is we saw what he was doing based off of clicking on him. If we didn't click on him there, we would never seen what he was doing. My top laner has Ignite. If my top laner wants to fight, we can fight here. Good, nice little trade. I want Yone to Q back in. Yes, good. Okay, now we can go. And now we can fight with this Diana here. I get this kill. Land our Q and then recall. So, Jarvan can be in two places. He can either be trying to invade our camps, in which we would have spotted him. He could be trying to gank bot lane, in which he can't. So the only place he can go from here on is straight to the top side. And we are going to account for that by pinging our team, letting them know. And maybe if he walked through here, like wiggled through and got into this position, maybe he's there, but I doubt it. So we're gonna keep pinging to the top side and say, hey, he's probably up there, be careful. So now, where is he, guys? He's in top side 100% of the time. Let's ping some more, let my teammates know, yo, please be careful. I just wanna let you guys know he's up there. And from here, we're just gonna do our camps. And what we need to think about in this position is where the Jarvan is going to go after the crab. So after his top crab, His bot camps won't be respawning yet. He will need to either recall or he can try to play for my Raptor camp. So there's Jarvan. So my top, my Diana's probably cooked. Does Jarvan have blue buff? So Jarvan does not have a blue buff, right? That means that Jarvan's blue is 100% up and available for me to play for. He also has 20 CS, which means he did Raptor 3 camps plus maybe his wolves and Gromp, and now he's going to play for this crab. So we can use this to our advantage because he only has a Long Sword here. So let's see if the crab is up, which it is up. Let's go hide here. Boom. We get a beautiful Q on him and we're not gonna do the crab first because we watched him not take his blue buff because he didn't have blue buff in the top side. We're gonna go for his blue first. This is what jungle tracking really looks like. And out of base, where is he going to go? He has no top camps up. We perfectly calculated his CS. He has to go to his Raptor camp. What we could do is play for an invade on his Raptor camp because my mid is winning, my bot lane is winning, and we see Shaco. So let's on the way ping through mid. Let's go fight in the mid side here and let's go ahead and say, hey, if we land this Q, great, I can get a full combo and that allows me to bring my mid lane pressure to his Raptor camp, which he 100% will be here. And look at my items, look at my level, look at him. I am significantly stronger than him here and we can keep playing. And if we need to, I can use my Flash. I can use anything here. Oh, this guy just lost his mind. See, he's just, he's just losing his mind. Uh, can I kill this guy? Maybe, maybe not. Depends on if Kali has anything or Taliyah has anything. And out of base now, after we take his Krugs as well, because his Krugs are up, he will go to the top side, right? Because his only top camps are on the top side. Or he's gonna come to his Krugs because he doesn't know if I took his Krugs or not. There's a chance he comes here and there's a chance he goes all the way to the top side. So he is here, so we found him. I can just dodge this easily and we can keep playing here. Nice. I can use my double W or use my thing here. Oh, fuck, I missed that. This guy can kill him there. Great. I have my W here, so we're good and we can leave and out of base. Where will their Jarvan go? Their Jarvan only has top camps now for sure, so we can account for where he's going to go. I'm going to go buy myself a Serrated Dirk. I just want to have more damage and then two Longswords. I'm going to go for a Suede Dirk plus maybe a Hubris early game. I'm just going to sit on the Pickaxe. But right now Jarvan only has these two top camps. We invaded his entire bot side, so I can either do my camps or I can contest him because I'm stronger than him. And I'm going to go ahead and contest him because I am just so much stronger than him. I can do my Raptors on the way to invade, and I can like ensure that I get my level 6 really, really, really fast. In this game, level 6 is everything. We see the Yone up here too. I can look for one little invade play here. Yeah, we see Jarvan. Great. I'm gonna land my QQ, kill this guy here, W my Diana. I don't know if we can actually save this guy or not. It's a little bit hard. I have my Q here. We land this Q as well, and then his Gromp is up. So he has 24 CS, and that means he might have had time to do one camp. So very likely, if we go check his wolves, it'll be down, right? And then out of base, where is he gonna go? He has only bot camps up now because look, his wolves are gone. I'll show you guys, his wolves are gone. So he's going to go to the bot side and we don't have our mid laner with us, but our mid laner does have level 6, so he could come. Shaco is really low on HP. So what I could do is I could actually go ahead and say, hey Taliyah, push this mid wave in and let's go reinvent this shit because I am level 6, he is level 4. This guy should not be able to play the game. And even if their Shaco comes, I don't care because he's low HP. We saw him earlier on really low HP, so this, this Jarvan should not be able to play the game whatsoever. At least we can go ahead and kill him here. Um, I'm gonna go ahead and kill this guy here with an auto attack. Beautiful. Okay. Beautiful as well. I can land my Q here as well. Bang. And then now where Draven will go is he has his Raptor camp and he could play for the Raptor camp. I'm trying to think, do I want to invade his Raptor camp? And the issue with invading his Raptor camp is Shaco will be up, their mid laner could come. I have no ulti, I have no flash, and I'm sitting on a lot of gold, so it's just a little too risky for no reason. Let me recall here, go to the top side. The situation sort of changed as Akali got low. But I think it's still better to play for my reset first, go to his top side because Jarvan wants to now invade my top camps. So we're gonna play into the Jarvan trying to take this crab and take my top camps. I don't know if he goes— if he goes for the crab here, we see him, great. And then after this, where is he going to go? He has no top camps now. He should have 28, maybe 32 CS. He will 100% invade my top side, so I'm gonna wait here. If he doesn't come here, then he's going to be on the Void Grubs. He could technically have made it to my red buff, but I doubt it. I think he's going to be on the Void Grubs here. Oh, he made it to my red buff. Okay, so he either made it to my red buff or he's on his wolves. Either way, I'm going to go find out and just confirm my suspicions. Where is he? So he's on my red buff. Like I said, like, I plan— okay, he's probably on my red buff. What I should have done here is I should check this now too. Yeah, look, he has a fresh red. He just took it. So I was right where— with my assumption on where he was. I just, um, Yeah, yeah, I was right. But okay, so Jarvan has no EQ. We can go ahead and maybe land a nice little cheeky Q here. Boom, we can full combo him and we can keep chasing now pretty easily. Our Taliyah can go ahead and help as well, and we have his entire top side for me to invade. So now let's take this and steal all of his little camps. So now where is he gonna go? He has one camp up, the Raptor camp. He'll have 40 CS after that. After the Raptor camp, he might go for this Dragon, or he'll go for my bot camps. So I can either fight through and go contest, or I can go and, uh, run all the— like, uh, recon, then, and then go here. Because I only have 500 gold, I'm just gonna like fight through, fight through the mid laner, and then go defend everything on the top side here. Oh, I fucked up, but I think I should still kill him. Okay, nice. And now we're gonna go check the bot crab, which should be up, and check the dragon, and then see if he's on the Krugs. At this point, this Jarvan's getting really desperate. So there he is. Hello, Jarvan. So we see, like, we just know exactly where he is. And now where is he going to go? He's gonna go straight to his Krugs. That's all he has. After the Krugs, he has— maybe he can go for the, uh, Gromp. The Gromp respawn is there. He could go for that. Yo, what are you doing, bro? Yo! What the fuck are you doing, yo? What? You are dumb. One dumb motherfucker. Just fucking ruined my tempo. And he pings his Fleet Footwork. Ah, shut the fuck up, bro. You literally lose homeguard. Nah. He's about to piss me off. Okay, so Jarvan could either greed or like coin flip the dragon, which in which case I want to get my Sona to ward it. Likely Jarvan will recall and then go for the Gromp. But just in case the Jarvan's a psychopath, uh, he will be there. Now I know he's not there. If he doesn't gank bot lane, where is he going to be? He's gonna be on the Gromp. And I took his wolves earlier, so don't get faked out by the map. Uh, the wolves are gone, so he's not playing for the wolves. So we could go ahead and invade him here again. Um, I have my ulti coming up in 20. I have a Q here landed. This guy's dead. Again, let me show you guys. Hello, Jarvan! Hi! Hey, buddy! You doing okay? Okay, so now where's Jarvan gonna go? He can go kind of like anywhere. He could like recall here, go to his bot camps. I think his bot camps are respawning soon. He could try to defend this dive here, which it looks like that's what he's doing. I'm just gonna fight through, poke him out, chunk him with my combo there. Now this Jarvan does have ulti, so I have to be like somewhat careful. Uh, they could come to 2v1 me. My Taliyah is on the way. So we see, we see, yeah, we see Jarvan up here at least. Fuck, I didn't mean to take a third shot there. I mean, my Taliyah will go stop them. I don't know where my Diana's pathing there for. Okay, and now where's Jarvan gonna go? Jarvan has wolves, raptors, red, and Krugs up. Oh shit. Hey, hello. Let's go ahead and recall. Let's buy Axiom Arc real quick. I just want to get more, more, more kills. Where's Jarvan gonna go though? Let's not forget Jarvan has all his bot camps up. He will— and wolves. So he could go for any of these camps here. Uh, very likely he's gonna go to where the group of camps are. So I'm gonna go meet him on his bot side and completely fuck him up there. He probably has time for 2 camps. We can fight him off the third. I need to be careful of their Shaco. Shaco's there. I need to think about their Akali. Akali will come back, probably go for the cannon. So Jarvan took his red buff. Yeah, so he took his red buff. We're going to have to just like say, hey, it's yours then. All good, bro. I'm going to take his Raptor camp while we're here. And what I could do is maybe pressure their Akali. So Jarvan is down here. Jarvan is coming. I'm also coming, but these guys are fucking cooked. See, I know exactly where he is. I have like hyper vision on him, you know? So now what is Jarvan going to try to do? He might try to invade me, or he will try to do my camp. So if you're desperate little Jarvan here, you're like, ooh, I want to try to get some camps back, you're not going to be able to get shit because I see you. I know what you're doing. Now Jarvan has no bot camps. Where is he going to go? He has no red buff, no Krugs. We know he was doing it. He's going to hold the Baron, hold the Dragon, or go to the top side. Because he's on the Dragon, we do want to bring the Taliyah to come help us with this fight. Okay, nice, we stole it actually. Holy shit, huge. And then now we can cross through mid and he has only top camps up, so we're going to meet him in the top side ahead of time But first we can pressure the Akali here. Yo, this Akali has a beautiful thing there going on. Or not Akali, the Taliyah. So we're gonna intercept him in the top side, take all of his top camps. Make this guy fucking bleed, bro. Okay, grab this. And the enemy top laner could come. The Akali is dead. Shaco is spotted in the bot side, so we should be fine. Their Jarvan might get desperate and try to like come take a camp. So my goal is to make sure I have this smited down. So Jarvan is not coming, right? Jarvan is not coming. We have to ping to the bot side. Jarvan is not coming. He is not coming. He's not coming. So where's he gonna go? He is going to go bot lane. Surprise, surprise, there he is, right? Like, I know where he's going because he didn't come top side. He has to be going bot lane. So he's just, he's just gonna like lane bot lane. I look to do a recall and I look to try to contest. Let's run all the way down. Jarvan can't do shit. We can replay for his Raptor camp as well. Yeah, like he's just, just dancing now. I'm just going to sit in a bush. So while he's sitting in a bush just dancing and trolling, I'm going to go take his camps and bring the Taliyah down with me to the bot side, pressure these guys. These guys might be trying to dive or something. Where— what the fuck are they doing? I don't actually even know. I don't— I mean, we can try to kill the Sunara, but where is Jarvan gonna be? I don't think Jarvan made it to my camps, but if he did, like, good for him. I need to go defend topside. I feel like he— I feel like likely he's gonna be topside. Oh, he's just sitting on the turret dancing. Okay, I guess my job's done. No more jungle tracking is really needed because this guy is just completely cooked mentally. He's fucking out of here, bro. Can maybe land a nice— I'm just going to go over, get this kill here. Jarvan is— Jarvan is like spotted, so we, we're fine now. Jarvan could go for my bot camps after this. Yeah, Jarvan just landing with Inara. He's so mad. I don't know why he's mad, to be honest. Well, actually, never mind. Actually, actually, after this After this early game, maybe I would be mad too. Okay, I changed my mind. Never mind, this game was pretty fucked up. Okay, let's go buy our item, and then we want to go ahead and attack him on the bot side again. We might be able to one-shot someone mid lane with our ulti. My training left more scars than any battle. I fucked up. I fucked up. This guy used Flash, Flash. I griefed there because I unfortunately didn't have any wards and I couldn't cast my ulti fast enough. I needed to Q, Q, R, auto, and then he's dead. But I gave Yunara enough time to Flash away because I didn't even cast my ult. So that's why she lives there. He's mad because he can't play the game. Yeah, I just realized like, yeah, the guy can't really do anything. So Olaf's bot side is up. I could fight for it, but at this point in the game, like, I don't want to just tunnel on jungle tracking. So I got my lead, and now let's look at the bigger picture here. Yone is getting pressured in the top side. I don't want to let this, like, happen. This is, like, not okay for our game state. I want to go for this dragon as well. I'd be surprised if they don't FF. Wait, it's past the FF timer. Holy shit, I've been tracking him this entire time. Okay, like, I'm done. I'm done tracking him. Like, at this point in the game, guys, we don't need to track him anymore. We just need to make good plays that win us the game. So instead of like, ooh, like, where's Jarvan? Where's Jarvan? Where's Jarvan? It's more about now, like, how can we accelerate and snowball this game? We've got our lead from using jungle tracking. And now what we want to do is focus on energy, less on jungle tracking, and more on like, who's strong on the enemy team? How do we close this game out properly so we can win this game? Let's go grab this dragon. First things first, grab drakes. Always grab drakes. Next thing is keep applying pressure to his camps. But we need to play in proximity to whoever's strongest on our team. So in this case, the person who's strongest is Taliyah. So instead of playing for top camps, what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna play for bot camps because that's in proximity to my strongest ally. So always play around your strongest ally whenever you are trying to accelerate a game. Give them the opportunity to be able to pressure whatever they want and step up whenever they want. Like, the top camps are great, but what's better is all this pressure in the bot side that we're generating. No way, we don't have enough damage to kill him there. That's crazy. Keep pressuring here. Okay, at this point our Taliyah is now like repositioning and we've kind of done with the siege in the bot lane. So what we can do is— actually, Taliyah is coming for this mid wave. We leave Taliyah getting this mid wave. What we can do now is pressure the top camps, just find this Jarvan wherever he is. All the top camps are up and we can play for this Yone as well. And then we want to pressure this top turret. We could go for the Baron as well here, to be honest, but we can actually just break this turret first. I almost have my item. This guy let me get my Q off. I would have killed him. Never again. Nice! I thought that landed. I thought he was actually face checking me all the way. Okay, that was Shaco ult as well, so that, that nuisance is out of the way. Fuck the bot lane shenanigans, just play for this. I need a recall for my item here. I'm gonna go for an LDR because they're buying armor. I mean, we can go for the, uh, other one too, but I don't know, LDR seems cool. Diana's like dumb for, for just staying this far up. Wait, unless she wins. Yeah, this Yunara is actually really strong too, so we need to respect this Yunara. One shot this Yunara, win the game. All right, I still want to keep pressuring. We have Diana TP. Oh my God, I'm fucking so fucking troll for that. I am Always roll for that, bro. Just come end the game. The Jarvan's not playing. My, my two of my kills deal 1K damage. All right, GG guys, that was a perfect game of jungle tracking where I knew exactly where he was, exactly what he was doing, exactly how to stop him. Hopefully you guys got to see what it's like to actually jungle track and stop the enemy, uh, using pure jungle tracking and then transitioning that into the game. I did mental boom the Jarvan, so he wasn't even playing. But if you guys enjoyed that video, please do me a favor, leave a like, comment, subscribe. I'll see you guys in the next one. Peace, peace.
