Why Viego STILL WINS With 3 Losing Lanes

Hey guys, it's Perry Norman. Today we have some more Halo Blades video games where we are carrying inting teammates. If you struggle with carrying your team when they're inting, top inting, mid inting, bot inting, this video is great to see 3 games where I actually managed to win even though some players are not playing too well. Some players are doing stupid things. Maybe they're frustrated and we have the right mentality. We have the right idea of how to win. We're playing through our win con, we're playing through their lose con, and we make work. It's not clean, but it's how you win games where maybe you'll lose these types of games if you don't lock in and try to win. All right, I hope you guys learned a thing or two from this video and enjoy. All right guys, let's play some Hail of Blades Viego. A lot of you guys are asking, when do you go Hail of Blades Collector Kraken or Collector crit Viego? When do you go regular Viego? I'm going to tell you guys really quickly. I'm going to explain this. So look at their comp. They have an Aphelios, Ekko, Mel, Caitlyn, and Braum. So 3 of the targets are ranged and they're squishy. So they're not like tanky— they're not tanky ranged champions. It's not like a Ryze. It's not like someone who can stack a bunch of HP. They're literally going to be building pure damage and not much defensive at all. And then you have Ekko, who is a melee but pretty easy to kill. And then Braum, who is hard to kill. But they have 3+ targets who are relatively easy for me to kill. They have 3 easy targets for you to kill, and I mean easy, and they don't have a lot of CC, then you wanna go for this Hail of Blades tech and one-shot them. If they have 3+ melee champions or harder champs to kill, then you don't wanna go for this Hail of Blades, Collector, one-shot build. So here's the thing: there are some champions in the game, like, picture a champion that has a bunch of dashes that's ranged, like Vayne, for example. Collector Hail of Blades into Vayne is like, it's okay, but it gets a little harder because she can just dash around and dodge and juke you. So you want to be careful against those champions who have a lot of like mobility and a lot of hard, hard, hard CC. I'm gonna try to see if I can think about some other champions that you wouldn't want to go Hail of Blades Viego into that are ranged champs. Definitely no Malphite, like unless there's 4 ranged champions that are easy to kill. Someone like— let's see here— someone like Brand, it can be a little annoying to jump because although Brand is really squishy, if you jump him, he can combo you and trade his HP bar and maybe one-shot you. So there's a few champions that are like, hmm, it's a little more annoying. Um, Bel'Veth, he might be easy to kill, but Bel'Veth has so many dashes to where she's not actually easy to kill. Okay, Swain. Swain is a ranged champion that buys HP, HP, HP, and he has a lot of durability and sustainability and healing. So that's where, okay, maybe a regular Kraken Viego makes more sense. So it really depends on the comp, guys. If your teammates, they desperately need frontline, then you could go, um, Bruiser Viego as well. This game, my teammates do need frontline, but because the enemies have so many squishy champions, I'm going to just try to carry. But let's say the enemies had no squishy champions. And I was deciding between Kraken and— I was deciding between Kraken and Collector or Hailblades, I would have gone, uh, sorry, Kraken and Bruiser. Hailblades out of the question. Um, I would have gone Bruiser because my teammates need a frontline this game. But because there's a Hailblades angle, I'm just gonna do the Hailblades angle this game. So bot lane's fighting giga hard. We are giga giga fighting. This guy's already dead. Braum is generally going to be super hard to kill. Um, so I'm just gonna go ahead and try to pressure the Smell. Even if we can't kill her, dealing a bunch of damage is really good for my mid laner because the guy literally just came back to lane and I chunked his HP bar all the way down on a free little pick here, or on a free little play. Okay, let's go recall here. What sucks is I'm going the, the Kraken or the Collector and I don't have enough gold for a Serrated Dirk, but we're not going to sit in base for 25 gold. It's not worth it. Let's just go deploy on the map and then try to get a Serrated Dirk afterwards. Okay, my bot lane is giga behind, but that's okay. We will try to play through our mid and top laner. My mid is not farming amazingly, but we have like double reset champs. So as long as I find good angles this game and they're not like really— like their jungler doesn't get out of control, I think we'll be okay. And why their jungler specifically? Their jungler, like, can kind of kill any of my teammates without us being able to fight back at all. And I worry about that a lot. But like, as long as that guy's not getting free kills, I'm not too, too worried. Their jungler is also pathing towards the top side while I'm pathing down towards the bot side, which gives me the idea that I can maybe play for this dragon or maybe I can play for a secured bot gank while the Ekko's in the top side. So let's just see what's happening in the bot lane. Like, we are giga, giga, giga behind, so we're playing relatively safe, I'd say. Okay, okay, so this guy's AFKing, so we can definitely still play for the dragon. These guys are overstepping pretty hard here.

Okay, my top laner traded 1 for 1. He killed the Ekko at least, which is good. We got 1 kill on the Braum. That was Braum's flash. My Milio does not seem like she wants to be— like he wants to be playing the game. Which it is what it is. In this position here, we have to kind of run for our lives. Okay, that was Mel's flash and Ekko's flash. So he gets the crab. They end up expending all their time doing that. It is what it is. It's a flash for flash. At least Milio came to help me. I'm thankful that Milio did not AFK on me there and came to help. It's pretty sad I'm not able to get the crab there, but at least we have one kill. That one kill is going to be pretty nice, get us a, a bit of a lead here, uh, on the Ekko at least. And my Anivia is— was able to 2v1 in the top side while we were making the bot play, so I'm confident that this Anivia, I could play through her. That is not good. My Vex dies here, it's very bad for us. We have to run from the Mel. Beautiful. We have a full Collector here. Let's grab the Collector. We have to just play through the Vex, who's doing okay, and the Anivia. My bot lane is like— it's not good to be around them, but like, if they overextend, the enemy bot lane, then we can look for kills here and there against the enemy bot lane. I have a full Collector, so I deal a lot of damage, but we don't get really strong until we have our second item and our third item. So this game they're not really buying armor, or they won't— they won't be because they're buying damage. So we can go for a Shieldbow and then an IE, just like— yeah, because they're not building armor, that seems good. I mean, they can buy two Zhonyas, but they won't buy for a while the Mel and the Echo Can. But it's going to be a hot minute till they buy that.

Let's run up here. He needed to wait for me. That's so sad. The thing is, the Echo might be able to kill him here. Let's see if the Echo walks through here. Nope, the Echo doesn't come. Then at least we get to invade his camps. So he invaded my, my top camps earlier. At least we got to re-invade his bot camps or his top camps. So we just traded there. My Ashe will have good setup and Milio can support me nicely. Just huge because it's time. Nice solo kill for my top laner there. I want to be careful here. Beautiful. That was a big snipe from my fucking, my fucking boy right there though. Like, like, Jesus, that Ashe snipe was fucking Bam! Like, these guys are inting the game. Good luck, guys. I'm getting strong. Y'all are about to get one-shot. You guys saw the damage on the Caitlyn, right? I went pop, pop, pop. Right now I have 65% crits. Like, if I, if I land 3 crits with my Hail of Blades, they're fucking screwed. If I don't land crits, Well, they get a little more time to live. But once I get 100% crits, there is nothing, and I mean fucking nothing, that they can do. Okay, if you're Aphelios, you don't have top wave, you might go mid lane, but there's also a bot wave. Okay, I have Mordred.

I was gonna say there's also a bot wave you might go for. I was going to say that Aphelios might come to bot lane, which I think he was. He is, yeah. Okay, well, I can't beat that gun, bro. It's like my fault. I didn't, I didn't get crits on him there, chat. I was like, as you guys see, like, if you don't get crits, it's pretty fucking sad. Like, you're depressed. If you get your crits, they're fucking dead. So it's like, it's a game of like RNG in the early side of things. Once you get your item, they're fucking one-tapped. Pretty much like once you hit enough crit chance, they're fucked. The guy got stunned hard there. I got my crits off. I have a shieldbow? It's not enough, damn! My Vex should be able to kill all though— oh, Vex misspells... Oh, I had a 700 gold shutdown?! Yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo my fucking bad that Mel just cashed in bro that Mel just robbed the bank! That Braum flashed lowkey I just thought I could kill Caitlyn I should've always targeted the Mel but it's fine my bad it's fine it's fine it's fine I misplayed by a bit there. We want to get this IE. Once we get IE and one Crit Cloak, we're pretty much full build. Like, they're fucking done for. They're done. My mid is still really strong too. Mel got a bit of gold. It's fine. We're gonna be able to one-shot him. Again, this build, like, for right now in the early game, we're really reliant on landing crits. As the game progresses and we get more crits, well, you're not relying on crits anymore. You're just gonna one-shot him. Yeah, we gave that guy so much gold. He does a lot of damage now. I'm not the only fed one, guys. I'm not the only one who's strong at this point in the game. Let's grab all the camps here. Let's recall and buy IE. All right, we have our item. We have, we have our crit cloak. We have fucking— they're just that— they're dead. Like, the game's, the game's over. They lost. I hope you guys, I hope you guys can understand that they've just lost the game from me buying that item right there. Like, IE, they're screwed. Cloak, they're still like, like, that secures it. So Aphelios freezing, I don't know what he's doing. I don't know where this guy is. I fucking failed my flash over the wall. But it's fine because it alerted my teammates to like be like, yo guys, you have to fucking be careful of that. Holy shit, the Hail of Blades. Like, that guy was actually giga strong there. What the fuck? And that's the FF for them. Look at how bad the game was. If I had bad mental, I wouldn't be able to win this game. Also, if I had the wrong runes, honestly, I wouldn't have been able to get as many easy kills. Yeah, there's some Hail of Blades Viego again with the losing lanes in the bot lane and finding a way to win. All right, top lane is war, bot lane's also war. Oh my God, like full clear about every game, full clear about every game. Don't fucking, don't fucking trip. We're, we're playing Viego again, Hail of Blades. They have multiple squishy champions. They have Taliyah, Twitch, Seraphine. It is so much easier to one-shot people when you have this crit Hail of Blades build. I'm always gonna go the crit Hail of Blades build. When they have 3+ ranged squishy champions. If they have a bunch of melee champions and they're building— and they're tanky, or that they're, they're not easy to kill, like they're Swain, then I'm going to go for the standard build or even a bruiser build. But right now I am pretty much 90% win rate, maybe 100% win rate even, on this Hail of Blades build on my Klima Challenger. It is just super duper strong if you understand that once you get 3 items, you are literally one-shotting people Once you have even your first item, your combo does about half their HP bar or more. So you can chunk them, wait for your next Hail Blades, and they're dead. Um, your goal is not to kill people on Viego. Your goal is to just chunk them, play slow, uh, in the early game, and then mid-late game you can just one-shot anyone you want. You can breathe on them and they'll die. You'll see, you'll see, guys. I'm gonna breathe on them and they'll die. Let me show y'all. So the guy's gonna be pathing here. Chances of her invading me, it's very low. There's a Taliyah jungle. It's very low. Okay, let's just full clear. We want to— 3 points into our Q. If you watch my content and you don't— oh, sorry, 2 points. If you watch my content, you don't put 2 points to your Q on your full clear, you're already making a huge mistake. A lot of people just like autopilot, they turn their brains off. They're not realizing like I'm not putting a point to my E, guys. Okay, so they have heal and barrier still ready, which makes the bot play less, less, way less appealing to me, like trying to dive. Let's take this crab. I can reward or replay for his Raptors. Let's ping up there 1, 2 times. It's a Raptor battle if we want.

Oh my God. Ah, okay, not good. It's okay. The Taliyah got me good there. The Pantheon baited me very hard. I wish my Bard came with me earlier, give him a little bit of a head start. We at least got the crab before anything, so we're good. Look, if you get your full clear off, you make a play, you fuck up, like normally you're fine. If you don't get your full clear off, you make a play and it fucks up, like your game is fucking cooked. That, that's the reason why full clearing is so good, is because like you will make mistakes when you play League of Legends games. You don't want to get giga punished if you make one single mistake. My Twitch is scaling champ, my Bard is lowkey scaling champ too. We should chill out a bit. I'm wondering if this bot, bot bush was warded there and he just like giga baited me because he played that like literally perfectly. Bro, this Bard is the pussy, bro. Thank you. If this Bard didn't cancel that guy, I would have been so fucking mad. Nice, Riven got a solo bolo here. Huge. Taliyah is spotted in the top side. I E'd the big wall. This is not good. They have full information of where I am. I'm gonna use an early Smite here, and that early— and the Riven pressure from the kill should be plenty. The issue here is I probably don't have Smite up for the the crab. Actually, we should be okay. Let's push the crab down. We have big smite now. I— and Riven came to leash, so that was beautiful.

Nah, the way this Bard is playing is so bad. Alright, just remember, don't play through Bard at all. This Bard is just not to be played through. Let's just mute this Riven real quick, and I'm gonna mute the Bard. We have an early Drake, so we have scaling. Our top laner is going to get stronger as the game progresses, and their Pantheon gets like lowkey weaker-ish. But like right now, let's just try to like focus on our own game and get ourselves to our Collector. Without any more bullshit happening. Don't play through my fucking stupid-ass bot lane, stupid-ass Riven either. Let's go clear down now. It's good stability. Like, Riven's a good player. She's just getting frustrated with me, which means she's probably going to try to flame me at some point. And like, I just don't want to deal with that because if Riven flames me, it's gonna throw me off my game and I'm gonna probably run the game down. Like, I'm gonna probably make way, way, way worse choices than I would if I just stay unmuted. So I'm just going to mute her. And Bard, Bard is just not really agreeing with any choice I'm making. So because he's not agreeing with me, it's better that I just listen to myself because we clearly don't play this— we clearly are not seeing the game the same way, or he doesn't trust me. So I might as well just ignore him. He's not relevant in this game. I'm gonna play with the other two people who are still— I don't know if they're willing to listen to me or not. I don't know if they're willing to play the game with me or not.

We got to— we got a 2 for 1 there. That gives me enough gold for my item, and we stall them out from the objective, which is pretty good. I thought Twitch would have sums there, but Twitch had no sums. I would say that's pretty decent. Honestly, with how Twitch is like sitting right there, I should have probably Seraphine Q'd for the damage. Seraphine Q is gonna do more damage than my E, and, and Seraphine E is, is way easier to dodge. And then after that, I probably should have, uh, just like full comboed like, like normal. But I think that slight adjustment would have made me kill the Twitch a little faster, and then I would have been able to maybe live. It's a Bard and Riven on the top side. Riven has ulti. Riven's on recall. So if Riven's recalling, I'm not even gonna ping the Riven. So at this point in the game, it's like, don't ping the Riven because Riven just— Riven is not happy with you. So I'm just gonna— I'm not gonna force this guy to do anything that makes Riven even more unhappy with me. I'm just gonna Be a good guy, mute up, and I'm going to play for the next best thing. So if Riven wants to recall after this, which I think she does, then I'm just going to play for the dragon. Dragon's also going to be a bit better for us, I'd say. As you can see, fight through your teammate who's stronger. Even if he's like mad at me or whatever, like he's still the strongest ally that I have. So I gotta play with the teammate who's the strongest. Even if this guy's a little upset. Like it is what it is. Like look at this, this Riven is giga strong. It's always good to use plants like that, like use vision if you want to try to get kills on someone who like might be invading you. Now I can fight with my top laner. I'm gonna ping that I'm playing for both these camps first, and then we can go play against their top laner. Not good, not good. They're fighting without me.

Honestly, like, my entire team is not great, so I just need to go very slowly. Play slow, play slow, play slow. Okay, there's good fighting going on bot lane. It's like lowkey favored for us. Nice, we got a pick here. It's good, it's good. We got a massive pick though. It's the exact play we want to make happen to win this game. And there's Taliyah flash as well. That's what we needed right there, guys. Okay, we got Taliyah's flash as well. We found the angle, we found the juicer. Yo, this, this Ezreal is a fucking psychopath. Nah, nah, but like, what are you doing? We need to return to topside fast. What the fuck?

We're not gonna be able to kill shit there. Be very thoughtful and respectful of the enemies, otherwise, otherwise we lose this game. Once we get this IE, we also have third— we also have 3 dragons. Like, they're the ones under a lot of pressure to try and, to try and win this game. Like, we can slow this game down and we'll be fine. We need to play for gold. If we don't get gold, we're not gonna be able to win. We need to get— like, we just need to play, relax, get some gold, farm a little bit, play for economy, and we'll be fine. We can give this next dragon for economy. Okay, I have my 3 core items. Okay, now we go for an LDR and we're fucking killing everyone. They're just cooked. And again, our Gwen is still getting strong. Our Gwen needs time though.

What the fuck, bro? No, no, no, no, bad, bad, bad. I have a shield, I have a shield, bro. Holy fuck, this Gwen is so annoying, man. Stall time is good. Okay, we're fine. Get some crit. Bard is stalling a bit. Twitch used Flash and Berry. I shouldn't have picked up the Possession, and I would have been able to live there. Ezreal got a full bot turret. If he— like, they can't do the Baron. They're not even walking towards the Baron. We have full Baron control. We keep getting gold back, and we got an important sum there. So it is what it is, but can you guys see what Riven just doesn't want to play? He doesn't want to play with us. So even though Riven is really strong, we can't play through Riven. Lowkey, I don't really have any teammate to play with. So what do we do when we have no teammate to play with? We have to find angles for ourselves, or we have to wait till the enemies engage onto our teammates. Like, pretty much I'm kind of playing a waiting game. Like, yo, enemies, start the fight against my teammates. When the enemies start the fight against my teammates, that's my opportunity to go in. But if the enemies don't start the fight onto my teammates, then I can't go in. I almost have my Last Whisper. They are— they like Death's Dance. They have, um, armor, armor thing there, so I have to be like kind of careful. Fuck, bro, everyone's so scared to fight. Oh no. I mean, at least we're getting a lot of gold back. Nah, but I swear I'm, I'm actually getting rage baited. Just play for the nib then. Just play for the nib. Like they're going to get the Baron Nashor, but it's okay because we'll get an inhib mid lane and we're getting a lot of gold back. So look at the levels like we're, we're doing pretty good in our economy and that's what's going to matter.

I have my, I have my Last Whisper. We're getting close to our full LDR. My Ezreal has 3 items. I'm gonna go play with my Ezreal here. See if there's any wards. I doubt it. Why would they ward up here? They just won. You don't really ward places where you've just won a fight. I don't have a Blast Cone up just yet. There's a Hanzo bot lane. So they have a Baron, but their setup is not good. As you can see, our map, because we keep splitting around the map, we keep forcing them to respond to us. The Taliyah has 4 items, so Taliyah is a bit strong. Have to be respectful of the Taliyah. I, I want to get my level 16 as well. It's a really bad usage of my flash there. Fuck, I didn't think they'd come that quickly to kill me. Using my flash there is really bad. And like, oh, it's like, oh Perry, you got a kill though, you went 1 for 1. It's a 1 for 1, bro. How am I supposed to win the next dragon fight? I have to be really smart about this next dragon fight if I want to win it. I'm gonna buy 2 pink wards to try and like— I don't even know if I'll be alive for the dragon fight, I'll be honest. But I'm gonna buy 2 pink wards, we'll see what I can make happen. I'm wondering, do we ever go for the Mortal Reminder here? Oh, if Gwen wins this, that'll be huge. Gwen can win. EW, EQ, hell yeah. Yo, lowkey it's winnable. I'm wondering if Mortal Reminder ever makes sense. Can I have $5? Yes, you can. Uh, let's buy a Control Ward. Let's just buy one Control Ward. We don't need a— we don't need a— the Gwen kind of self— hold on, lowkey, lowkey, my Bard fucking baited them all. My Bard rage baited them all to come in to kill themselves. It's because Riven is splitting, Gwen is splitting, like everyone is just like split pushing and they have to just respond to us over and over and over again so they're not able to progress the game, which is like It's good, it's good because we got to keep playing the game, but like, I don't know when it gets really— I don't know when it gets like that much better for us. We need a little bit, I think. Lowkey, I need the Seraphine to come face check, and then I take the Blast Cone and run. I have a really good position. Maybe Taliyah can come too. Really good position that I've snuck in here. Shh, come on, Twitchy. Found you! Told you guys, I told you guys, bro. I was waiting for that. I said, shh, I said give me a moment, bro. And you guys can see, like, I just, I just freaking one-shot him like that with this build. He has zero counterplay there. Like, Gwen and I can do a lot of damage to this thing. This guy can stall. We finished the Nashor at least. I don't have no wave. I can E into the bot side. They have no idea I'm in— they have no idea I'm actually in the top side. I fucked up there. I fucked up there pretty bad. I fucking missed my W and I didn't kill the Seraphine. Oh, I fucked up there. It should still be fine. We should still be okay, but oh boy, I fucked up there. Oh my God, Riven! Riven has pallets! No, not Riven. Death's Dance plus shielding. This fucking item right here, if Riot showed us the stats on this item, uh-uh, uh-uh. We would see fucking absurd numbers. That's how you do it, guys. I— my teammates played well. My top and mid, they played— my top mid and ADC, we played the map well. This is good level macro. In lower elos, honestly, this game is probably fucking over, um, but we made a winning game in a higher elo. So for my fucking Masters+ players, if you're not winning games like this, it's because your mental's dogshit or because you're not good enough. I'ma win these games. That's how I'm gonna get to Challenger. Guys, let's jump into another Hail of Blades Viego game. Again, I'm like 100% win rate on this. You're full crit, you're able to one-shot anyone. Watch the build later on, you'll see me one-shot literally every single person I breathe on. It's such a disturbing build because Viego's Q and R does more damage with crit, and Hail of Blades allows you to compensate for the attack speed you're missing from the Kraken Slayer. So everything just works very, very, very nicely with this build. I fucking love it. Enemy forgot to buy. Oh my God, bro. Honestly, I wish you just did not tell me. Oh, I don't know. Maybe there's some tech. I don't know. I don't understand. Let's clear bot lane. Bot lane trades look really good already. I have a favorable Jhin-Nami bot matchup, which I'm very happy about.
