A guided meditation for people weighed down by guilt. The tool: write a letter to whoever you wronged, or to yourself, saying what happened and asking forgiveness. The point is to stop hoping the past was different and let it go.
Chapters
Do you feel guilty about something from your past? The burden of this past event is likely causing you unnecessary stress that has been building for maybe days, weeks, months, or even years. It's time to forgive your past. Forgiveness is giving up the hope that the past could be any different. It's accepting the past for what it is and using the present moment to help yourself move forward. It is letting go so that the past doesn't hold you prisoner. A great way to do this is to write a letter to someone you feel guilty about. Explain to that person why you feel that way and ask them to forgive you. This could be to a person that's dead or alive, or it could be a letter to yourself if you feel like you self-sabotaged yourself. Whatever the case, the act of writing the letter will be therapeutic, and it'll help reduce the burden of stress you've been carrying from your past.
