Let's face it, we've all failed. But rather than think of failure as something negative, consider it part of your education in your future success. In other words, think of failure as just feedback. When you fail, the world is giving you feedback that you need to take a different approach. When you're progressing forward, inevitably you will run into obstacles along the way. How we perceive those obstacles is what separates those who want to reduce their stress and those who will continue to pile it on. Pretty much everyone who has tried anything has cupboards full of botched attempts, rejection letters, and memories of being passed over and ignored. Let's face it, failure is part of life. Maybe not on a grand scale, but in some way, shape, or form, we've screwed up. So stop stressing and remember you are part of a very large club. I'm part of that club. Your friends are part of that club. Your family's part of that club. In fact, you could even celebrate your failure by attending a local, believe it or not, fuck-up night, acronym FUN, in which professionals recount about their worst work screw-ups. So, in the words of the famous Thomas Edison, "I have not failed, I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work."
