The excerpt is a short spoken monologue (single speaker labeled SPEAKER A) advising listeners to support friends launching businesses by becoming their first customers, buying their products/services, and promoting them to others in the community.
If you have a friend who is starting a business, maybe it's a consulting service, or maybe she's a massage therapist, or he owns a flower shop. It doesn't really matter what it is they're doing. Go help them. Go support them in some way. The best thing you can do for somebody starting a business is actually becoming their first customer. So no matter what your friend is selling, you're buying flowers for everyone in your family, gift cards for massages, whatever it might be. You're doing it to support your friend. Then you go tell everybody about it. Share it with your mutual friends and you encourage them to do the same. Share it with people that live in the community that might benefit from this service as well. So if somebody you know is starting a company, starting a business, become their first customer and then tell everybody to do the same.
