A founder feels invisible to their team. The problem isn't that they're overlooked, it's that they hide behind a stoic mask. Show vulnerability, share what you're actually struggling with, and your team will see you.

The reason you feel unseen by your team is because you're not showing you, right? You have a feeling that they don't understand you or they don't see you for who you are. Maybe it's because you're not showing them who you are. Maybe it's because you're carrying some kind of facade. You're not talking about the challenges in the business. You're not showing your vulnerability. You're trying to hide behind some facade of you have to be the strong one and the stoic one. And nothing could be further from the truth. Most CEOs, most successful founders that I know have an ability to also be vulnerable, to also share the difficult moments, to also tell the folks that, hey, I don't have all the answers. And so if you don't feel seen by your team, it's probably because you're hiding. And so showing them more of yourself will make you have that feeling go away.
