An Irish proverb says a friend's eye is a good mirror. Friends reflect back what we can't see in ourselves, revealing blind spots and self-deception. Their honest perspective pushes us toward real change.

There's an Irish proverb that goes, a friend's eye is a good mirror. I take that to mean that the friend reflects back to you maybe some of the things that you don't want to see yourself. And the friend does this with love and care and sort of that reflection that you— sometimes we fool ourselves, we think that things are great or we think we're making the right choices. And then there is that friend that that looks at us in a certain way or says things in a certain way, and it makes us realize that what we're looking at ourselves may not be as it's supposed to be, and maybe there's something that we want to change. I love this proverb. I think it's really apt for thinking about our relationships, our friendships, and using those friendships to see who we truly are ourselves.
