Jack Kornfield says compassion must include yourself, not just others. Most people are harsh with themselves while supporting everyone else. Start with one small step, whether that's running your first mile or drawing a single line.

Jack Kornfield said, "If your compassion doesn't include yourself, it is incomplete." I think many of us can recognize our ability to be down on ourselves, hard on ourselves. Oh, I'm not good enough. I'm not doing this right. I can't figure this thing out. That's bullshit, isn't it? We prop other people up. We support our loved ones. We encourage them to do things that they don't think they can do. But when it comes to ourselves. We have a hard time doing that. If that's you, maybe today think about what is it that you can do instead of thinking about what you can't do. It's always about that first step, right? To run your marathon or that first line on a piece of paper if you're trying to learn how to draw. So, just go ahead and do it. I think you can do it. I think you can be compassionate with yourself. So, give that a shot. Thank you.
