A client described her husband standing by her through personal struggles. The speaker asks: do you thank the people who show up for you? Expressing gratitude strengthens relationships and matters more than you might think.

A client of mine was telling me about the relationship she has with her husband. They've been married for a couple of years. They've known each other for maybe 10 years. They've gone through some stuff. She's gone through some stuff that's made it difficult, perhaps, for her partner to sort of be around and supportive. But he has stuck by her and they've persevered. I'm a big softie. I couldn't help but well up a little bit when she told me. And I'm sharing this with you today because as we do what we do in our lives, we have people who care for us and love us and take care of us when we may not be able to take as good care of ourselves as we should. Go thank them. Go tell them today. Go show them how much you appreciate that they're in your life. You may do that anyway every day. Good for you. A lot of us tend to forget. So this is just a gentle reminder. The people who are there for you, let them know, maybe right now, and I'm sure they'll appreciate it, and I'm sure that you will feel better for having shared with them just how much they mean to you.
