I was just having dinner with a founder and CTO of a company, and we started talking about the nutritional needs of a CEO or nutritional needs of a startup executive and how there's a lot of different diets and fads and things floating around, but also how a lot of people in the industry don't eat as well as they should or chase sort of easy fixes. And he had a very simple prescription, essentially. He chose to eat meat, but he also said that, you know, obviously it's up to each individual choice, and he's not a nutritionist, I'm not a nutritionist. But the way he did it was he said, I make sure that I get one night with fish, one night with chicken, one night with meat, with beef, one night with Pork, so that's four, and then the three other nights is just vegetables. I don't eat any pasta. I don't eat any bread. I don't eat any rice. It's always one of those protein sources and vegetables, and that was how he kind of designed his diet and how he ate. And as a result, he'd lost weight and he felt better and all this other stuff. So what's my point here? My point is most of us probably don't eat as well as we should. Maybe we don't even. eat to the best of our performance. And so just thinking about some simple rules, in his case, he changed the animal he chose to eat, is helpful. For myself, my weakness is sweets, chocolates. And so I know that if I have any sweets in the house, I will eat them. How do I avoid doing it? I just don't buy them. And so if I have to eat something sweet, I have to do it outside of the house. And that requires a little bit more effort. And therefore I think about the choice and then I eat less sweets. as a result. So think about how you're feeding your body. Think about the nutrition that is, that is right for you, that is good balance, gives you the energy you need. But perhaps consider if there's something that you need to eat less of. Could be sweets, could be meat, it could be carbohydrates in pasta and rice and that kind of thing. Whatever it is, see if you want to make some changes and see how you feel after you make those changes.
