Forgive Because You Deserve Peace

Jonathan Lockwood Hughes said, forgive not because they deserve forgiveness, but because you deserve peace. I think we can all recognize the situation where we've been angry with somebody or frustrated about something and not necessarily told the other person. They don't know. They're not suffering from it. We're the ones carrying it. We're the ones who have to deal with it. Forgiveness is a way to inner peace. If it has been addressed or if it cannot be addressed, if it cannot be resolved, and most things can, but if you believe that it's a lost cause, you have to forgive them in order to get peace, or you have to remove them from your life if that's a possibility. But in most cases, forgiveness is the path to pursue.
