Kurt Vonnegut said, to practice any art, no matter how well or badly, makes your soul grow. So do it. As some of you know, I am in the process of writing my first business book with Wiley. I've been writing for years, and when I started doing that, I was not doing it very well. But it did make my soul grow. It did expand it. It did expand my horizons as I got to think about new things. And the same thing with whether it's drawing or music or design, any other creative arts. It changes something in the way that your mind works and in the way that you see the world. So if there is a hobby project of yours that you're contemplating getting started on, some creative pursuit, as Kurt said, I would encourage you to do it because it does make your soul grow and it does expand your mind.
