Peter Sorgenfrei argues that startup founders paralyze themselves by avoiding decisions. Most choices can be reversed, but hiring decisions stick around, so those deserve extra care. The cost of inaction often exceeds the cost of a mistake.

Kathryn Cook said, if you're not making mistakes, you're not making decisions. Often I meet founders who are paralyzed by the need to make a decision on a product feature, on a pricing question with a client, or on a hiring decision. And while hiring decisions is not something to be taken lightly, in most cases, it's better to make a decision, actually get something done, and then move on. Yes, you are going to make mistakes, but most decisions, if not all decisions, can be undone. Remind yourself of the Catherine Cook quote that if you're not making mistakes, it's because you're not making decisions.
