Sylvia Boorstein said, mindfulness doesn't mean you don't have emotions, it means you're aware of them. I think a lot of people struggle with the concept of mindfulness or meditation, but it is by far the most helpful thing I've ever learned to do, is to meditate. And so in essential— in a simple way, what it is, is you literally just observe your thoughts. Like you're sitting somewhere or standing somewhere and Like, oh, I'm thinking this. Oh, that's a thought. There it goes. It's kind of like clouds in the sky. Today is a really cloudy day, so there's no individual clouds, but imagine that you're looking up and you're seeing the clouds pass. And that's what meditation is. You're aware that there's a cloud, you see it passing, and it's gone. Same thing with your thoughts. If you can sit and do that for 10 minutes, 5 minutes, even 3 minutes a day, I think you'll experience that your thinking becomes clearer and overall you become happier. So, give it a try.
