My favorite Stoic, Epictetus, said, no great thing is created suddenly. And by that, of course, he meant that it takes time to create something of value, and back then, of virtue, something meaningful. If you're expecting quick success, if you're expecting something great to happen suddenly, you're probably in for a disappointment. Remember this: whatever great thing you're working on, it's going to take time, but eventually it will come. It may not be the first thing, it may not be the second thing, but no great thing is created suddenly. Put in the work and eventually you'll see that beauty that you're building or that wonderful thing that you're looking forward to happening for you.
