Self-compassion has three parts: mindfulness of your thoughts and self-talk, common humanity (knowing everyone struggles), and treating yourself with kindness. Together they make it easier to practice self-compassion daily.

This morning I wrote about self-compassion, and essentially self-compassion is comprised of 3 things. Number one is mindfulness, being mindful of your thoughts and how you speak to yourself and how you kind of view the world. Number 2 is common humanity, and what that means is it's essentially to realize that we are all the same. We all struggle with something. There's always something going on that's not perfect. Understanding that we're all alike means that you stop perhaps comparing yourself to others. And then the last and final point is kindness. Trying to be kind to yourself, being kind to others. If you do those 3 things, so being mindful, realize there's a common humanity, and if you're kind, then it's much easier to show yourself self-compassion and go through your day. Have a good one.
