Federico García Lorca said, there are things inside of you that only you can unlock. I actually would want to go a step further, saying the only thing that can change is you. And when I say that to clients, I talk about the fact that you can't really change the circumstances around you. You can't really change the people around you, or actually you cannot change the people around you at all. You can change the people by moving somewhere else, but You can't change who they are and how they react and respond to things. But what you can change is how you react and respond to things. And what you can change is how you think about yourself in the context that you're in. And so I thought this quote was a good reminder of that, that if there's something that is needing to be unlocked inside of you, only you can do it. So do the work, get that unlocking done, and then maybe things will change for the better.
