Every Sunday I have a relationship meeting where I sit down with my girlfriend and we talk about stuff during the past week that in some way has annoyed us or miffed us or caused us to not be as caring and as loving to the other person as we have wanted to. And it's a free space for us to just have that conversation and saying, hey honey, in this week I felt this way when you did this, that, and the other. I think it's about this. I think it's about this stuff inside of me. How do you, how do you see that situation or what happened there? And in many cases, obviously, you discover that what upset you was not intended to upset you. It was just a happenstance. But it's a good way to communicate and figuring out how do you improve your relationship for the week going forward. Literally set a time, an hour today and the next Sundays, to sit with your partner and have that conversation. And I promise you, your relationship will be better for it.
