Colson Whitehead said, what is not said is as important as what is. And of course, he was talking about the nonverbal communication. He was talking about what we keep to ourselves instead of expressing it, or what others are keeping from us instead of telling us. Thinking about that today, what is it that you're not saying that you should be saying? And what is it that your body language signals when somebody is talking to you. Being aware of those 2 things can be scary because all of a sudden you become very self-conscious, but overall it increases your ability to communicate and it increases your ability to be understood. And I thought you should think about that today.
