A lot of us live both in the past and in the future. We agonize about something that happened in the past, or we worry about something that might happen in the future. But in essence, the only thing we have, the only time there is, is today, right now, at this moment. And so the only way to affect anything is by the actions that we take today. So the past is gone, but what happens in the future is something that we can try to affect. through our actions today, whether it's making a sale in the business or calling that person that we needed to improve our relationship with, or anything else for that matter— going to the gym, meditating, whatever it is. So the things that you're doing today are the things that are going to affect your future, not what might happen in the future, and certainly not what happened in the past.
