What often happens in startups or in companies in general is you start enjoying the people that you're working with. You start liking them as people, but they may still be underperforming. And so dealing with that can be a little bit challenging. I think the first thing to think about is separate the personality from the task at hand or the thing that they need to do, right? So talk to them about saying, hey, I care about you. I think you're great. This thing that we need to do together is not living up to our expectations, and here's how we're going to change it. The other thing to think about is you are colleagues first and foremost. You are not friends first and foremost. And so having a culture of we are in this company to deliver an outcome to ourselves and to our shareholders if we have them, that's the culture we want to have. If we can be friends while we're doing that, fantastic. But the friendship cannot get in the way of the mission that we're on for this business.
